Crime Stoppers Prevents Powell from Being Buried Next to Sons

Crime Stoppers of Pierce County, Washington has taken a bold step to protect the memories of little Charlie and Braden Powell, by purchasing the funeral plots around their burial site to prevent their father, who murdered them, from being buried next to them.
Josh Powell, a family annihilator, first killed their mother Amy Powell several years ago, cleverly hiding the body and telling police that he had taken his sons camping during a snowstorm in 25 degree weather. He told police that when he returned from the “camping trip” his wife had disappeared.
Authorities were considering custody issues and had requested a psychological evaluation of Powell. During a recent supervised visitation in which a social worker brought the boys to Powell’s home, he shut the door in the worker’s face after allowing the boys inside. He then attempted to behead both boys and then blew up his house leading to three deaths. The last words that the social worker heard the Powell say to these precious children was, “Daddy has a surprise for you.”
Although the deal has not yet been finalized, authorities estimate that the cost of the funeral plot purchases, plus markers will range from $4,000 to $5,000.
Law Enforcement Today applauds this innovation in honoring crime victims, which will prevent an evil, murderous monster from being laid to rest next to the children he cruelly killed.
