Florida: Clinton-Appointed Judge Frees Criminal Cuban Illegal Alien Who Hijacked a Plane in 2003

ORLANDO, FL - Another radical Marxist in a black robe has ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to release a convicted hijacker, who terrorized and assaulted a flight crew during a midair hijacking on March 19, 2003, The New York Post reports.

Maikel Guerra Morales was ordered released by federal judge John E. Steele, a Clinton appointee. Morales served 20 years in prison and was in ICE custody awaiting a free plane ride out of the country. Now, due to Steele, who complained he had been “in custody too long,” he is free to roam the streets of Florida.

Steele’s decision to release Morales infuriated Acting Assistant DHS Secretary Lauren Bis.

“This activist judge forced ICE to release a criminal illegal alien who was convicted and sentenced to 22 years for hijacking a plane back into American communities,” DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement.

“This is yet another example of an activist judge trying to thwart President Trump’s mandate from the American people to remove criminal illegal aliens from our country.

“Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, DHS will continue to fight for the detention and removal of criminal illegal aliens who have no right to be in our country,” she said.

According to a story published in the Post on March 20, 2003, a Cuban airliner carrying Morales and 28 other passengers was hijacked after departing Havana. It landed under U.S. military escort in Key West, Florida, where Morales and five other hijackers surrendered.

Guerra Morales was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service and was convicted of aircraft piracy and conspiracy to interfere with a flight crew, and sentenced to 22 years in prison.

ICE took him into custody last December; however after seven months, Steele ordered him released under supervision, forcing agents to monitor him while he awaits deportation.

ICE planned on sending him to Mexico, but he might end up eventually getting sent back to Cuba. He is believed to be living in Miami, Florida.
