MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – A 23-year-old man convicted of aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault of a pregnant convenience store clerk in Conroe, Texas, was handed down two concurrent life sentences earlier in August.
Authorities say shortly after midnight on April 10th, 2025, a then 22-year-old Logan Michael Parker entered a Circle K convenience store located on Davis Street and Highland Hollow Drive in Conroe, where he reportedly attempted to purchase a beverage at the counter, but his payment was declined.
The clerk working the counter reportedly extended kindness to her future attacker, voiding the transaction and using her employee discount card so that Parker could get the beverage free of charge. Thereafter, authorities say Parker exited the convenience store and returned minutes later, parking his vehicle behind the business and turning off his headlights.
Parker reportedly waited until the clerk, who was pregnant at the time, was vulnerable and forced her into a restroom where he proceeded to sexually assault the victim while threatening to kill her. After the attack, Parker reportedly stole the victim’s cellphone and fled the area. Reasonably traumatized by the attack, authorities say the victim stayed hidden and didn’t emerge from her hiding place until she felt it was safe, with a customer immediately calling 911 after the victim searched for help.
Conroe Police responded to the Circle K at approximately 1:30 a.m., taking the victim’s report and description of the suspect. Within hours, police apprehended Parker at a strip mall located at I-45 and SH 336.
This past August 5th, a jury out of Montgomery County delivered a guilty verdict on aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault following a multi-day trial. Sentencing of Parker commenced the following day, with the jury reportedly only briefly conferring before determining that a life sentence was appropriate for the defendant. Both of the life sentences Parker received will be served concurrently, with him being eligible for parole after 30 years of confinement.
District Attorney Mike Holley issued a statement following the conclusion of the trial, emphasizing the depraved nature of the defendant in light of the victim who initially extended a kindness that was “repaid” with “an unspeakable act of violence.”
“The facts of this case are difficult to read because they reveal calculated evil. A woman showed this defendant compassion. He repaid that kindness by returning to the store and committing an unspeakable act of violence against the very person who helped him,” DA Holley stated.
