Operation Charlotte’s Web Hits Streets After Violent Illegal Aliens Freed

CHARLOTTE, NC – Homeland Security issued a press release earlier in November announcing the newly launched “Operation Charlotte’s Web,” which said immigration enforcement operation aims to crackdown on criminal illegal aliens who’ve slipped through the cracks due to “sanctuary policies” allowing immigration detainers to remain ignored in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On November 15th, Homeland Security announced their latest immigration enforcement operation, with the latest iteration targeting criminal illegal aliens residing in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to the agency, “Sanctuary policies prevented nearly 1,400 detainers from being honored, putting criminal illegal aliens back on Charlotte’s streets,” which serves as the reasoning behind the location of the enforcement operation.

In an effort to illustrate the sorts of individuals who’ve been released from state and local custody after the issuance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers, Homeland Security detailed a list of seven notable criminal illegal aliens accused of disturbing offenses who were released “into North Carolina’s neighborhoods.”

  •          Jordan Renato Castillo-Chavez, a criminal illegal alien from Costa Rica, was arrested for numerous child sex offense charges including indecent liberties with a child, first degree sexual exploitation of a minor, attempted statutory sexual offense with a child less than 15 years old, and solicitation of a child by a computer
  •          Jose Ulloa-Martinez, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, was arrested for murder
  •          Osman Armondo Paz-Ortiz, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, was previously arrested for statutory sex offense with a child, indecent liberties with a child, and sex acts by a substitute parent/custodian
  •          Jeferson Moises Martinez-Sorto, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, was previously arrested for sexual battery, resisting an officer, and fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle
  •          William Santos-Roca, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was previously arrested for a weapons charges, multiple DWIs, and hit-and-run
  •          Carlos Manuel Portillo-Guevara, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador, was previously arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and discharge of a weapon
  •          Olvin Esau Calero-Martinez, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, was previously arrested for vehicle theft, larceny, trespassing, burglary and forced entry, property damage, possession of stolen property, and drug possession

All of the abovementioned illegal aliens were released back into the streets despite ICE issuing detainers for the individuals in North Carolina, as local law enforcement out of the state has routinely ignored ICE detainers for years.

Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin issued a statement in light of the launch of Operation Charlotte’s Web, saying, “Americans should be able to live without fear of violent criminal illegal aliens hurting them, their families, or their neighbors. We are surging DHS law enforcement to Charlotte to ensure Americans are safe and public safety threats are removed. There have been too many victims of criminal illegal aliens. President Trump and Secretary Noem will step up to protect Americans when sanctuary politicians won’t.”
