ATLANTA, GA- Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) announced that an enhanced, targeted immigration operation in Georgia has resulted in the arrest of 1,226 illegal alien offenders. “Operation Safe Community-Atlanta" saw immigration officials arrest illegal alien offenders with criminal histories including sex crimes, crimes against children, aggravated assault, assault and battery, drug crimes, lewd and lascivious acts, burglary, weapons charges, driving while intoxicated, and more, an ICE news release said.
“Our officers did what they do best: they arrested and removed dangerous criminal offenders from American communities,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Acting Assistant Director Patricia Hyde.
“Make no mistake, every one of the illegal alien offenders apprehended during this operation was in violation of U.S. immigration law, but more than 700 of the aliens we arrested also have criminal histories in the United States. Removing these criminal alien offenders from Georgia neighborhoods makes for much safer communities, and that is exactly what the men and women of ICE work to accomplish every day across our great nation.”
All told, 720 of the 1,226 arrested have either been convicted or charged with crimes in the U.S., the release noted.
In one case, ICE officers arrested five illegal aliens at the address of a trucking company known for employing illegals. There have been numerous documented cases of illegal alien truck drivers causing serious and fatal motor vehicle accidents nationwide over the past year or two.
Among those arrested include:
Fabian Pineda-Garcia, Mexico, with prior criminal convictions for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute at least 500 grams of methamphetamine and driving while intoxicated
Jose Felix Amaya-Pineda, El Salvador, with prior criminal arrests for domestic battery/family violence, cruelty to children, disorderly conduct, and driving while intoxicated
Elena Marin, Romania, with prior criminal arrests for theft by deception and petit larceny
Armando Loma-Cristo, Mexico, with prior criminal arrests for driving while intoxicated, supplying alcohol to underage persons, child endangerment, and driving without a valid license
Ivan Flores-Dircio, Mexican sex offender, with criminal convictions for sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Daniel Hernandez-Rodriguez, Mexico, with criminal convictions for driving while intoxicated, endangering a child, and probation violation
Hector Jose Hernandez-Fuentes, Honduras, with prior criminal arrests for cruelty to children 1st degree and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers
Jose Manuel Maciel-Hernandez, Mexico, with prior criminal arrests for aggravated assault, reckless conduct, cruelty to children, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, and unauthorized discharge of a firearm
Lina Sava, Romania, criminal history including theft-movable property.
Note that many of those arrested were charged with crimes involving children. The next time you hear Democrat politicians complain about ICE arrests having an effect on children, note that yes, they are...protecting children from illegal alien predators.
