PITTSBURGH, PA - A 19-year-old transient suspect reportedly behind a months-long crime spree involving petty thefts and open-air assaults has been collectively charged by over half a dozen law enforcement agencies across Pennsylvania regarding alleged offenses dating back to last December.
A crime spree allegedly carried out since December 22, 2025, by a man identified as 19-year-old Giovanni Moore has finally come to a head after the apparent vagrant reportedly racked up 16 different charges from seven different law enforcement agencies across Pennsylvania. The alleged offenses began following Moore’s December 2025 eviction from his mother’s house after an approved restraining order, with officials claiming the alleged offenses started small and escalated into violence.
Court documents reportedly revealed small-scale offenses allegedly committed by Moore at the onset of the reported crime spree, such as lifting snacks from a 7-Eleven location in Mount Shannon earlier this summer. Other offenses included more instances of alleged retail theft, such as stealing laundry detergent from a Giant Eagle outside of Pittsburgh and fried chicken and deodorant from a grocer in Mt. Lebanon.
Things escalated into various drug offenses for Moore, according to authorities, with a May 10 arrest for allegedly dealing crack at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Ninth Street in Pittsburgh. A judge released him the following day, only for him to be picked up on the same charges at the same corner on May 31. This past July, Moore was also given a citation for allegedly smoking weed in the hallway of Pittsburgh’s Municipal Courts Building.
Still, the numerous arrests and citations resulted in Moore being released back into the community.
Come August, Moore would be arrested six additional times, with some of the offenses turning violent and eventually culminating in a bail amount being established that has since kept him behind bars. On August 5, Moore allegedly attacked a man at a bus stop along Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s 82-Lincoln route, later allegedly exposing himself at the Wood Street subway station. That same day, Moore reportedly doused a victim with a cup of water unprovoked along Grant Street.
The day following Moore’s alleged string of multiple assaults, he reportedly got into a physical altercation leading to his arrest, described by an off-duty officer who witnessed the incident as “a crack deal gone wrong.” Somehow, Moore was free to commit another alleged offense on August 21, when Pittsburgh Police claim he snatched a woman’s cash at an area convenience store and assaulted her and another woman who tried to confront him over the alleged theft. One of the female victims was reportedly dragged down the street by Moore.
An hour after the alleged attack on the two women, Moore reportedly tried snatching another woman’s purse and punched another man in the face. Police eventually apprehended Moore and transported him to the Allegheny County Jail, where his combined bond was set at $30,000 for the string of alleged offenses. His next scheduled court appearance is slated for September 2.
