Reporter Says Alleged Attackers Are Now Claiming She’s the Threat

WASHINGTON, DC – Earlier in May, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) Frontlines reporter Savanah Hernandez appeared on Fox News’ Ingraham Angle to discuss the ongoing legal debacle stemming from a violent confrontation with a family facing criminal charges who allegedly attacked Hernandez on camera, claiming the family filed a restraining order against her.

The originating incident occurred back on April 11th outside of the Whipple Federal Building in Hennepin County, Minnesota, where Hernandez was reporting on the then-ongoing anti-ICE protests occurring outside of the facility. While Hernandez was filming the protest, she became engulfed by anti-ICE protesters who were seemingly displeased with her presence at the protest.

While tensions were rising amid Hernadez’s documenting of the protest, she was confronted by three family members present at the protest who were later identified as Christopher, Deyanna and Paige Ostroushko. Video of the incident was heavily circulated online in the wake of the matter, which showed Hernandez being attacked by several individuals and shoved to the ground.

the Ostroushko family are currently facing federal charges for their alleged exploits outside of the Whipple building, Hernandez shared an unusual update regarding her legal dealings with the Ostroushko family, explaining during a Fox News appearance that the family managed to secure a restraining order against her.

“These are ex parte restraining orders, meaning they told a good enough story that it was just approved, and now it's up to me to go to court and fight what they stated. Now, Chris's restraining order petition is actually the craziest one. It's a full page of complaints, and he states that he is living in fear of his life because of me. He also added five inches to my height,” Hernandez stated while appearing on Laura Ingraham’s program.

“[Chris Ostroushko is] trying to get me and my entire family banned from the county where he lives in, and he and his daughter are also trying to get me banned from the Whipple ICE facility and the public sidewalk where the protesters are standing - that's an exact quote from Paige's restraining order,” Hernadez added.

Hernandez emphasized the absurdity of the situation, highlighting how despite the existence of clear evidence that she was physically assaulted by multiple individuals, the family facing criminal charges for their alleged actions are attempting to “say that they are the victim.”

“These unhinged protesters are attacking people left and right. They are the agitators. They are the ones that are the most violent. And even when the camera is on them and they are attacking somebody in 4K Ultra HD, they will still say that they are the victim,” Hernandez stated.

After mentioning how the Ostroushko family opted to have police hand-deliver three separate restraining orders to her address as opposed to handing them off to her attorney, the TPUSA reporter openly speculated about where the funding for the Ostroushko family is coming from to carry on the curious lawfare.

“It's great that the DOJ is starting to, you know, make indictments and arrests of these individuals, but who is funding them? There is a greater person at play here. There is greater funding at play here. And we need to get to the bottom of that, because, again, this radical left-wing violence is not going away,” Hernandez speculated.

According to Hernandez, her experience with the Ostroushko family is part of a broader pattern of violence coming the political Left, asserting matters have only become worse since Charlie Kirk was killed last September.

“And after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, we've only seen it get worse and worse. I mean, Turning Point USA just got a bomb threat at our Women's Leadership Summit that's happening in San Antonio, just to give everyone a reminder of how insane and radical the left wing is becoming and why we need to actually dismantle these radical groups,” Hernandez concluded.
