ICE Highlights One-Day Roundup of Criminal Alien Kidnappers, Gang Members, Child Abusers

WASHINGTON, DC - Earlier in April, Homeland Security issued a press release highlighting the apprehensions of numerous criminal illegal aliens taken into custody within a single day by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The Homeland Security press release detailed five notable apprehensions of criminal illegal aliens which occurred across the country on April 16, noting that the prior convictions of those taken into custody by ICE included “child cruelty with possible injury or death, battery against spouse, kidnapping, and other horrific crimes.”

According to the press release from the agency, the detainees are as follows:

  • Dara Nin, a criminal illegal alien from Cambodia, has a prior conviction out of California for child cruelty with possible injury or death.
  • Fabricio Ruiz-Higareda, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, has a prior conviction out of California for battery against a spouse and is also an alleged member of the Fullerton Tokers Town gang.
  • Debaba Raymond Alimasi, a criminal illegal alien from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has a prior conviction out of Idaho for kidnapping.
  • Manuel Ordonez-Chitic, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, has a prior conviction out of Pennsylvania for robbery, inflicting/threatening imminent bodily injury.
  • Kelbin Edgardo Castillo-Aguilera, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, has a prior conviction out of Texas for aggravated robbery.
Homeland Security Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis issued a statement in tandem with the press release, citing that the majority of individuals apprehended by ICE are either charged or convicted of offenses within the United States.

“Just yesterday, ICE arrested criminal illegal aliens across the country convicted of despicable crimes, including a Fullerton Tokers Town gang member. Every day, DHS law enforcement is risking their lives to protect American communities. Nearly 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. We will not sit and allow criminals to terrorize American citizens,” Acting Assistant Secretary Bis stated.
