Kaley's Cops teams up with Florida Georgia Lines' Brian Kelley to raise funds for a department k9

Kaley Bastine started making a big difference when she was just six years old. In a heartwarming example of parenting done right, she continues.

In 2017 after learning about the loss of Officer Brian Shaw from New Kensington, she decided she wanted to raise money for her local police department to “stay protected.”

Kaley’s mother told Law Enforcement Today that Kaley hosted a lemonade stand in front of their home on July 4, 2018 and raised $106.

“She loved how officers from Brackenridge and Harrison showed up to support her and she decided that she wanted to do more,” her mother said. Kaley set a new goal: to raise enough money to pay for a k9. At the time, the Chief did not have enough enforcement to get a k9 but said the money could be used for special equipment.

Committed to her cause, Kaley held a car wash and lemonade, and cookie stands raising over $20,000 for the department, which was able to get protective vests and even a drone that they named after Kaley.

That is still not the end of her desire and commitment to help law enforcement stay protected. She has raised money for New Kensington Police to assist with their k9s raising almost 31k for their department. She went on to raise over $8,000 for Lower Burrell Police for their k9, Buc, and more.

Now, Kaley is on a mission to help the Tarentum Police Department get a k9.

In a beautiful effort that only adds to the already bright light that Kaley is shining, Brian Kelley, formerly of country music duo Florida Georgia Line, has stepped up to partner with Kaley for a benefit concert to accomplish this mission. Get tickets here!

Please share this story far and wide! “The more money we get for sponsors or tickets, the more she can give back to start the K-9 unit,” Kaley’s mother said.
