Texas Senate Candidate Andrew Trakas Calls Out Power Players for No-Script Debate

DENTON, TX — Texas U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Trakas has officially called out John Cornyn, Wesley Hunt, and Ken Paxton to face him in a live, no-script, no-spin debate as soon as possible.

“For years, these career politicians have made the same promises, given the same speeches, and delivered the same nothing,” said Trakas. “They’ve had the time, the titles, and the taxpayer dollars but not the results.”

Trakas didn’t hold back.

“If you truly serve Texans, prove it. Stand next to me and defend your record. But if you refuse this debate, it’s because you’re afraid of being held accountable by the people you claim to represent. Texans deserve to see who stands for them and who hides behind party talking points. If you can’t defend your record in public, you shouldn’t be representing this state.”

Trakas, a fighter who has served and worked for Texas firsthand, says this challenge isn’t about party lines but about truth and leadership.

“Texas doesn’t need another career politician who’s great at campaigning and lousy at governing. We need people who actually do the work. Texas deserves better, and I’m ready to prove it right here in Denton, live, in front of the people.”

The Trakas campaign is calling for the debate to be scheduled as soon as possible, open to the press, the public, and streamed live statewide.

“The people are watching,” Trakas said. “Texas needs action, not excuses, not silence, not empty promises. I’m ready when they are. Let’s debate.”
