WASHINGTON, DC- The Justice Department continues its crusade of purging voters who support former President Donald Trump, this time targeting a Chicago police officer who was convicted last summer for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 US Capitol siege, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Prosecutors, claiming the officer, Karol Chwiesiuk, violated his oath as a “public servant of the City of Chicago,” asked he receive a year in prison for his role in trespassing inside the Capitol. His sister, Agnieszka Chwiesiuk, was convicted alongside her brother. Prosecutors allege they “ignored damage and violence” outside the US Capitol and then entered the building. Some video footage released by House Republicans shows many of those who entered the building were let inside by US Capitol Police.

Aside from the trespass complaint, prosecutors also claimed that Karol Chwiesiul lied under testimony during the trial.

“Nearly every aspect of Karol Shwiesiuk’s testimony was self-serving and a misrepresentation of the facts to the jury,” prosecutors complained. “During his time on the stand, Karol Chwiesiuk testified that he did not have any idea what was happening at the Capitol that day, despite receiving emails talking about rallies supporting the former president, as well as information about a protest outside of the Capitol building.”

Fair enough, but did he know beforehand that some of those attending the rally, some of whom were alleged to be FBI informants, would incite violence once inside? That wasn’t explored by the prosecution, who sought to reach a predetermined outcome.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Anna Krasinski and Sean Murphy asked for an eight-month prison term for the officer’s sister, Agnieszka. Records showed the pair spent all of ten minutes inside the Capitol building. Karol Chwiesiuk was also accused of entering the office of Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon). Both were convicted of misdemeanors in August and are set to be sentenced on Jan. 24 by U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee.

Attorney Nishay Sanan, a Chicago-based attorney representing the Chwiesiuks, will file his own sentencing request. However, this week, he called the feds’ memo “nothing more than boilerplate mishmosh” that “does not accurately display who [the Chwiesiuks] are or what…specifically happened in their case.”

Officer Chwiesiuk had been listed as inactive and on unpaid leave from the Chicago Police Department. Prosecutors, however, said he “lost his job” after he participated in the Capitol siege. He was out on medical leave at the time of the incident, the feds also said.

Chwiesiuk had previously been employed as a correctional officer at the Cook County Jail.

On the date of the 2020 election, Karol Chwiesiuk texted his sister, writing, “Very confident maga 2020 my sister,” prosecutors said. What that has to do with his case is anyone’s guess since expressing support for a presidential candidate, even Trump, used to be legal.

Two months later, he again texted his sister, telling her he was going to Washington, DC, “To save the nation” while adding, “I’m fucking up some commies.”

The siblings rented a car and drove from Chicago to Washington. Agnieszka sent her brother screenshots, with one asking, “How many other patriots are headed to DC to build FORT TRUMP?” Again, is expressing support for a presidential candidate now illegal? Another text listed times and locations of planned, First Amendment-protected events.

On the night of Jan. 5, prosecutors said Karol Chwiesiuk took several photographs of himself around the Capitol’s perimeter like every other tourist visiting our nation’s capital. However, for Merrick Garland’s DOJ and BIden’s America, attending planned events, taking pictures outside national landmarks, and researching events are illegal.

“These details are important because they show that the Chwiesiuks knew how to plan, knew how to look up information, and knew where the planned events were taking place,” prosecutors alleged. “More specifically, they knew that nothing and no one authorized them to enter the Capitol.” Except perhaps the Capitol police officers or FBI plants who let them into the building.

Prosecutors alleged that on Jan. 6, the siblings witnessed “numerous instances and acts of chaos, violence, and destruction” before they entered the Capitol building at 2:57 pm through the Senate Wing Door. They climbed out of a broken window just south of that door a whopping eleven minutes later, at 3:08 pm.

What possibly hurt his case was a text that Karol Chwiesiuk allegedly sent, reading, “It was epic. Super fun. The optics are bad, but fuck it at this point ya know.”

One week after the Capitol siege on Jan. 13, 2021, Karol Chwiesiuk, again exercising his First Amendment rights as a free American, texted his cousin, writing, “I maintain that Donald J. Trump is the legitimate president of the United States. Enjoy communism for 4 years.”

It appears that Karol Chwiesiuk is also a psychic.
