Racism: Boston's "diverse" Asian mayor excludes white city council members from holiday party

BOSTON, MA- How do you know if something is genuinely racist? Switch the affected party to black, Hispanic, or Muslim and ask the same question. If you feel it is racist, it probably is.

Such is the case in Boston, where the city’s uber-liberal left-wing mayor decided to have a non-White Christmas. Bing Crosby must be rolling in his grave. 

The New York Post reports that Michelle Wu, who is of Asian descent, decided to have a “holiday party” (can’t call them Christmas parties anymore) in which whites need not apply. Unfortunately for Wu, her party invitations designed for “Electeds of Color” were somehow sent to all members of the Boston City Council. “Electeds of color?” Liberals like making words and phrases up…take “Latinx,” for example. 

Shortly after the invitation was sent out, Denise DosSantos, Wu’s director of Council Relations (who checks the diversity box, it appears), realized she had made a boo-boo and immediately dispatched a correction. 

“I wanted to apologize for my previous email regarding a Holiday Party for tomorrow,” Woo’s aide wrote. In this case, white council members were not supposed to be invited. 

So, let’s change the narrative. Say a conservative or Republican mayor sent an invitation for a holiday party designed for “Electeds of No Melanin.” What would the response be? 

For sure, CNN and MSNBC would have panels of eight “analysts” bloviating about the systemic racism of such an invite. Lawmakers would be holding hearings. Left-wing lunatics would be picketing outside city hall, lying down in city streets in protest. Who knows, perhaps some leftist loon would set themselves on fire in protest! 

“I did send that to everyone by accident and I apologize if my email may have offended or came [sic] across as so,” DosSantos added. “Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.” 

Confusion? No, the follow-up email cleared up any confusion…Woo is a flaming racist. 

As expected, social media was atwitter (no pun intended) over Woo’s racism. 

Not all were offended, however. Boston City Councilman Frank Baker called Woo’s move “unfortunate and divisive” but said it did not affect him personally. 

“I don’t really get offended too easily,” Baker told the Boston Herald. “To offend me, you’re going to have to do much more than not invite me to a party.” 

“I find it unfortunate that with the temperature the way it is, that we would further that division,” Baker continued. 

As expected, the minority contingent of the city council defended Woo, led by Councilman Brian Worrell, a black Democrat. 

“We make space and spaces for all kinds of specific groups in the city and city government,” Worrell told the Boston Herald. 

One has to wonder if Worrell would have felt the same way if former Mayor Thomas Menino, who was white,” had a party that only whites were invited to. Our guess is absolutely not. 

“This is no different, and the Elected Officials of Color has been around for more than a decade.” 

Boston radio talk show host Howie Carr slammed Wu in a post on X: 

“Mayor Wu is NOT dreaming of a white Christmas. And she will NOT be serving white wine tonight. Or white meat chicken. No palefaces invited to Parkman House powwow!” 

Bo Snerdley, former producer of the late Rush Limbaugh’s radio show and now a radio host, said: 

“Ladies and Gentlemen (And those who are confused) Right in time for the holiday season–introducing a new ‘ebonic’ term–(don’t make fun–it’s cultural)’ Electeds of Color,” Snerdley, who is black, said. 

The Post contacted Wu’s office for comment, but none was immediately received.
