SANTA CLARA, CA – A 51-year-old woman is currently on trial after prosecutors allege she orchestrated a series of alcohol-fueled house parties in northern California amid the pandemic era of late 2020 where she hosted dozens of underage teens. During these alleged parties, some of the intoxicated teens reportedly fell victim to sexual assaults.
The trial for Shannon O’Connor kicked off this past December, with testimony from witnesses and alleged victims rendered earlier in January that portray O’Connor’s alleged ‘party mom’ antics, as described by various media outlets, as ostensibly being a parent of young teens’ worst nightmare.
Prosecutors claim these parties allegedly hosted by O’Connor in late 2020 between a rental home in Santa Cruz as well as her home in Los Gatos played out in a largely synonymous and formulaic manner. O’Connor would allegedly secure and hide booze for the teens inside the home, wait for her husband to depart, and would at times allegedly play as some kind of matchmaker between intoxicated teens all while inappropriately acting as a peer rather than the adult in the household.
O’Connor’s son was apparently present during these alleged parties hosted by his mom, with one victim identified only as “Joh Doe 5” detailing a specific Halloween party where in excess of 30 minors were in attendance and openly drinking booze left behind by O’Connor while she was away for the evening.
In anticipation of the alleged Halloween party, prosecutors say O’Connor even contacted the local police to inform them that a Halloween party was going to be taking place between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and to not respond to noise complaints made against the home.
During the alleged Halloween party, which was one of the few occasions prosecutors say O’Connor wasn’t present, John Doe 5 testified that the amount of alcohol left behind by O’Connor was the most he’d ever seen before, leading to several minors binge drinking and passing out.
When recounting past interactions with O’Connor, John Doe 5 admitted that in hindsight it was “pretty weird” that someone in their mid-40s would openly discuss sex with underage teens. He claimed that O’Connor’s behavior far exceeded what could be described as a “cool mom” and was more akin to acting like a “popular girl” in school, claiming she would try to control who dated who and meticulously controlled the guest list of minors attending these alleged parties.
Prosecutors showed members of the jury screenshots a secret Snapchat group chat allegedly created by O’Connor with minors who would frequently attend the alleged parties, naming the group chat “Fox News” in an apparent attempt to not draw attention to the messages contained within the secret group chat.
When detectives came to arrest O’Connor at her home in October of 2021, authorities discovered 12 underage teens inside the home who’d apparently slept over the evening prior.
O’Connor is currently facing 63 charges in connection to the alleged house parties, including charges of child molestation, furnishing alcohol to minors, and endangering or injuring the health of a child.

Since she's a woman (and in California, no less), she'll get a light sentence and be admonished "not to do it again". The cycle will repeat. (It is the way of the Leftist states).
