Biden Era Illegal Nabbed After Attempted Murder on Charlotte Train

CHARLOTTE, NC- Less than four months after a maniac stabbed 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee, to death on a Charlotte light rail train, an illegal alien committed a similar crime on Friday, although his victim has thus far managed to survive.

Fox News Digital reports that Oscar Solarzano, 33, a Honduran illegal alien, was arrested in connection with the stabbing on a Charlotte light rail train. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with serious injury, breaking/entering a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, and intoxicated/disruptive behavior, multiple Department of Homeland Security sources told Fox News Digital. The outlet also reviewed arrest warrants in the case.

Due to Solarzano’s immigration status, he is being held without bond, according to a release order filed in Mecklenburg County.

Solarzano was kicked out of the country in March 2018 and reentered illegally at the Texas border during the Biden administration’s open borders extravaganza in March 2021, according to DHS sources.

Solarzano was actually deported a second time by the Biden administration, however reentered the country illegally, although the location and date is unknown.

On Friday, December 5, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers were dispatched to a call in the late afternoon on the report of an assault with a deadly weapon. On arrival, they found the victim, Kenyon Kareem-Shemar Dobie, suffering from a stab wound, according to warrants reviewed by Fox News Digital. Dobie was listed in critical but stable condition by the hospital where he was taken.

The warrant further alleges that before the attack, Solarzano broke into a railroad car “with the intent to commit a felony” while carrying the large, fixed-blade knife.

Clearly appearing intoxicated, Solarzano challenged Dobie to a fight, shouting obscenities at nobody in particular, using “unintelligible and slurred words,” court documents showed.

Solarzano has a prior conviction for robbery in the United States, and previous arrests for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and false identification, DHS said. Court records also suggested that he has used several aliases in the past, including Solarzano Garcia, Oscar Herardo, and Kevin Garcia.

Solarzano is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 8 and will be released to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a later date, according to a release order.

In August, a career criminal, Decarlos Brown, 34, slashed Iryna Zarutska’s throat, then stabbed her in a shocking crime caught on the train’s surveillance video. He has been charged with violence against a railroad carrier and mass transportation system resulting in death, a federal capital offense that makes him eligible for the death penalty.

President Trump took to Truth Social after the latest attack, writing, “Another stabbing by an Illegal MIgrant in Charlotte, North Carolina. What’s going on in Charlotte? Democrats are destroying it, like everything else, piece by piece!!!”

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy also weighed in, calling out Charlotte’s Democratic Mayor Vi Lyles on X:

“Apparently, the death of Iryna Zarutska wasn’t enough. What is it going to take for @CLTMayor to remove violent criminals off the streets and protect her constituents,” Duffy wrote. “The time to act is NOW.”

Fox News Digital reached out to DHS, ICE, and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for comment; however, none responded immediately.
