Delaware man charged with lying about his age to sleep with and blackmail teenage girl

MILFORD, DE - A Deleware man, identified as Markez Davis, 20, was placed under arrest in connection to reports that he allegedly lied to teenage girls about his age to have sex with them. He is also accused of recording video of the encounters and subsequently blackmailing the underaged girls.

Court records cited by Delaware Online/The News Journal stated that he not only threatened to expose his victim, who was 15 at the time of the incident while he was 19, but he also threatened to kill her.

A caller reportedly told Milford Police in July, "Markez Davis has been lying to underage girls about his age to have sexual encounters with them."

The victim told officers that she and Davis had sex in March and April and that he recorded their sexual activity on her mobile phone, only to send the footage to himself. Though she attempted to unsend the message, it was too late. The footage which showed her face was in his possession she said.

Prior to the girl breaking off the relationship with Davis, he allegedly requested she send him sexually explicit photos of her warning that he would become "really, really mad," and expose the video and images he had if she did not comply. She did as he asked.

When the relationship was over, he threatened to kill her and expose her again, court documents indicated, adding that when sex crimes investigators checked her phone, they found footage of the sexual encounter and was able to identify Davis through a tattoo on his arm.

Delaware State Police's high-tech crimes unit was able to examine the video in detail and contacted police in Ocean City, Maryland, where Davis was already in custody on multiple charges of theft and a weapons crime per Delaware Online.

Milford Police took custody of Davis on Oct. 22nd and he is being charged with sexual exploitation of a child, unlawfully dealing in material depicting a child engaging in sexual acts, fourth- and third-degree rape, and two counts of terroristic threatening. He is currently being held on $338,000 bail.
