Democrats purportedly pushing agenda for non-citizens to vote (and here's how they're doing it)

In a recent piece featured in The Epoch Times, contributor Betsy McCaughey claims that Democrats are ushering in an agenda that could potentially spell the end of state and local elections by way of turning illegal aliens into would-be Democrat voters.

It’s hardly a sensationalizing sentiment to describe the flow of illegal immigrants via the southern border as a being a crisis at this point, or even describing the state of the matter in the context of the past few years.

In an August 2023 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) report, the agency documented over 180,000 encounters with illegal aliens along the southern border for solely that month alone.

Furthermore, a June report from Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates the number of illegal aliens currently residing in the United States to be nearly 17 million, emphasizing a 2.3 million increase since Joe Biden assumed officer in January 2021.

According to McCaughey, the steady flow of illegal aliens that some Democrats have publicly bemoaned after having them bussed to their respective cities are possibly cheering in secret, hoping to turn these illegal aliens into de facto imported voters.

McCaughey writes, “Democrats may feign shock and distress. Don’t be fooled. Democrats see these newcomers as their guarantee of a permanent voting majority in local elections. Not years from now, after the newcomers become citizens. Right now.”

McCaughey points to New York City Mayor Eric Adams as a prime example behind his theory, highlighting the mayor’s public admonishments of illegal immigration impacting the city whilst also “leading the legal effort to turn migrants into voters,” via a law that has been tied up in the courts for some time that would grant local voting privileges to anyone who harbors a work permit.

There is certainly a laundry list of issues posed by unchecked illegal immigration and lackluster border policies and securing practices, which could spell calamity in terms of "when" rather than "if."

Per an AJOT report from June of 2021, CBP maritime freight inspection rates are abysmal, clocking in at around 3.7% of the approximately 11 million shipping containers that come into the United States each year.

And when it comes to potential national security threats via unchecked illegal immigration, the presence of potentially dangerous individuals gaining entry to the United States has already been realized in some cases.

A report from Reuters this past August detailed how a smuggler with ties to ISIS was helping illegal aliens from Uzbekistan enter the country via the southern border.

But even if nothing truly cataclysmic were to manifest from the poorly managed border itself, the concept of an imported voter base swaying local elections presents some very real consequences in terms of everyday life for citizens within those communities.

From the way public education is handled, creation and disbursement of entitlement programs, local tax rates – and yes, even how law enforcement operates as a whole in communities could be impacted by imported voters.

Of course they are trying to allow them to vote as they know that they will vote for the Democrats that give them the vote will vote for Democrats who gave them the ability to vote!
