Lake Buena Vista, FL: Just when you thought our great nation was finally rebounding after several tumultuous years of anti-police rhetoric and “defund the police” nonsense from the liberal community, did Disney try to screw it all up again?

A popular traffic safety conference in Orlando, Florida, that brought in police officers from around the country, was nearly derailed after some officers were turned away by security for simply wearing clothing with police logos on them.

The situation left such a bad taste with law enforcement that Florida Lt. Governor, Jay Collins, showed up to the event to challenge and question security over the incident.

An anonymous police officer in attendance read a statement to local media given to him from another officer who was turned away.

It stated, “We were not allowed to enter wearing law enforcement related clothing. They said we could turn it inside out.”

How ludicrous.

Another officer who was turned away expressed a similar sentiment and said, “We’re here for a conference. We want to go enjoy the time that we have to meet new law enforcement officers from around the country.”

A local news outlet reported they reached out to Disney representatives to inquire more details about what occurred and were able to receive responses.

According to the media, they said Disney “security was too conservative in deciding whether the clothing could confuse guests” but said they apologized for the situation and labeled it a “misunderstanding”.

Disney’s Recent Liberal Past

Some officers told local media they would not be returning after what they experienced.

Can you blame them?

Disney, like many other organizations, took a strong stance in supporting the liberal agenda in recent years. They have donated $5 million toward social justice programs in the weeks following the George Floyd incident, which closely aligned to anti-police ideologies.

They then pursued strong diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the months and years following that. Much of it can be seen in several of their movies. In 2022, the kids Disney movie Lightyear, a follow up to the once popular Toy Story movie franchise, prominently featured a same-sex couple that included a notable kissing scene.

These actions aligned strongly with the liberal community agenda. And the liberal agenda since 2020 hasn’t exactly been friendly to the law enforcement community.

This most recent incident of Disney turning away police officers for their LEO themed clothing is reminiscent of that era and begs the question, are they still in that “anti-police” mode?

Only time will tell.
