Hunter Biden’s alleged recurring ‘car payments’ stirs up money laundering controversy

Hunter Biden’s attorneys have claimed that recently uncovered payments that were funneled into his father’s bank account were payments for a vehicle.

The recurring payments were made to Democrat President Joe Biden’s bank from his son’s Owasco PC account—the same account that received millions of dollars in payments from Chinese state-owned corporations.

In a statement, Hunter’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, Bill Clinton’s former impeachment attorney, mocked House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) for characterizing the payments as proof that the president was involved in his son’s corrupt business dealings.

Lowell claims that, between September and November 2018, there were three $1,380 payment reimbursements on car payments for a truck that Joe Biden purchased for Hunter because he couldn’t get credit.

“There Chairman Comer goes again—reheating what is old as new to try to revive his sham of an investigation,” Lowell said in a statement.

“The truth is Hunter’s father helped him when he was struggling financially due to his addiction and could not secure credit to finance a truck… When Hunter was able to, he paid his father back and took over the payments himself.”

The deal and payments to his father are all on Hunter Biden’s laptop, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Though the car dealership confirmed that Hunter traded in two other vehicles as part of the deal and Joe Biden did buy a 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor truck for $67,000 for his son Hunter in June 2018, Republican James Comer challenges this information by addressing a broader context.

Since the payments are not explicitly designated as car payments, there’s no evidence to confirm that this was the purpose of the transfers.

Further, Lowell didn’t explain why the payments didn’t equal the vehicle purchase cost.

Hunter Biden also bought the firearm for which he is being federally prosecuted around the same time. Federal authorities allege that he lied on gun permit forms about his drug use then.

“This wasn’t a payment from Hunter Biden’s personal account but an account for his corporation that received payments from China and other shady corners of the world,” Comer said about the findings.

“At this moment, Hunter Biden is under an investigation by the Department of Justice for using Owasco PC for tax evasion and other serious crimes.”

Comer said the payments “are part of a pattern revealing Joe Biden knew about, participated in, and benefited from his family’s influence-peddling schemes.”

Comer stated he doesn’t believe the payments are car payments and noted that Joe Biden had many meetings with his son’s business associates as the foreign payments were in motion.

“As the Bidens received millions from foreign nationals and companies in China, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and Kazakhstan, Joe Biden dined with his family’s foreign associates, spoke to them by speakerphone, had coffee, attended meetings, and ultimately received payments that were funded by his family’s business dealings,” the committee added in a press release.

Comer also pointed out that there isn’t documentation that the payments were car payments.

Additionally, Comer noted that bank records prove that Hunter Biden could have easily afforded a car with the millions he was getting from foreign entities without the need for credit or loans.

“They assume the majority of Americans at the end of the day are going to be financially illiterate,” he said during an interview on Newsmax.

“People know that if you make a loan, you receive a loan repayment. You should have a copy of the check that you made the loan to. I mean, they’re just not being honest with the American people. They want to say, ‘Well, the president’s son couldn’t qualify for a truck loan’ for what, $40,000, but then China loans him $5 million, Russia loans him $3.5 million, and the list goes on and on.

"But he can’t even get a car loan? It makes no sense,” he argued.

On top of that, Biden’s family has not adequately explained another $40,000 payment to Joe Biden from his brother James—that payment was flagged by the bank as suspected money laundering.

I call bovine waste to car payments. He was given a Porche by China. Did he hock it for cocaine?

I don’t know anyone who would get a loan for a car if they had millions in their bank account. You pay cash. It’s the usual lies, trying to cover up the corruption.

America has been HIJACKED. We have this crud living in the White House and laughing all the way to the bank as they sell America to the rest of the world including our known adversaries.

Laurence

So who was stupid enough to elect him?
