GARDNER, MA- Massachusetts State Police are continuing their search for Aaron Pennington, a suspect in the murder of his wife Breanne Pennington. They have focused their search in the woods near a Boy Scout camp, Camp Collier.

The area is nearly 200 Acres that authorities are sweeping through.

Pennington is alleged to have shot his wife. Her body was located on Cherry Street Sunday morning in their residence.

The state police focused on this location after the couples BMW was located by a hunter in the area.

Police are urging the public to stay away from this area and not to enter the woods at this time. Worcester County district attorney Joe early Jr. reiterated this point at a Tuesday afternoon press conference.

Everything started when Gardner police were contacted regarding a disturbance at the Pennington residence. When the police arrived, they discovered the body of Mrs Pennington with one gunshot to the head.

The 30-year-old victim was already deceased when the police arrived. Their four children had already left the household and ran to a neighboring home for protection.

The 33-year-old suspect is presumed to be armed and dangerous, and the public is advised not to approach him if they see him.

Aaron Pennington is a white male weighing approximately 175 and stands at 6 ft 2 in. He has blue eyes and blonde hair.

The suspect is a former member of the United States Air Force. He was classified as an aircraft mechanic during his time in the military.

A neighbor contacted the Gardner Police Department after the Pennington children showed up at her doorstep in a frightened manner. After she found them at her door, she contacted 911 "because they could not find their father and their mother was in her bedroom crying.”

Earlier today, an arrest warrant was issued by the Worchester County District Attorney's office for Aaron Pennington in connection with the death of Brianne Pennington.

While hunting in the area, a bowhunter located and abandoned BMW in the woods not far from the camp Collier location, which appeared to have been there for not too long a period of time.

Apparently, the couple had been experiencing marital issues for a period of time. Gardner investigators discovered that Mrs. Pennington was planning on leaving with the four children and heading to Texas.

She felt threatened and wanted to get as far away from her husband as possible.

It is believed that the suspect took the firearm belonging to his wife, although it was noted by police that neither one owned a license for the gun. The weapon belonged to Mrs. Pennington for personal safety reasons.

In a statement to the press, Pennington's sister Brooke Pertile, remarked, “I know (Aaron) has some mental health issues that Breanne tried to get him to get help for, but he just wouldn’t. He just robbed my nieces and nephews of a fantastic mom and robbed me of a sister and everybody else of their friend.”

She also said that she wants her brother to give himself up for the children's well-being.
