EL PASO, TX - Authorities with El Paso Police and Crime Stoppers are looking for a man who allegedly burglarized a store in El Paso' Lower Valley, causing thousands of dollars in damage and built a fort during the incident.
This incident is the "Crime of the Week," as publicized by Crime Stoppers, KTSM reported. The alleged incident happened at 9 a.m. on Sunday, August 9 when a man broke into the garden area of the Tractor Supply store at 9541 Alameda. The suspect attempted to break the glass door leading into the main store with a skateboard but was unsuccessful.
He then damaged multiple pieces of merchandise and ultimately built a fort, Crime Stoppers said. The man also stole some drinks and snacks before falling asleep.
The suspect reportedly fled after he was discovered and awakened by store employees. He is described as Hispanic, with dark hair and is in his late teens to early 20s. He is roughly 5'8", with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored jeans. The suspect caused an estimated $3,500 in damage, according to Crime Stoppers.
