FBI Director Kash Patel Begins Purging Officials Tied to Political Hit Jobs Against Trump

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The National Pulse reports that FBI Director Kash Patel has begun a purge of senior officials at the agency who were either involved in or helped push politically motivated actions against President Trump. Among those believed to have been removed are senior field office leaders in the Atlanta and New Orleans field offices, as well as the acting assistant director who oversees the New York field office. Some of those agents have filed lawsuits to prevent their removal.

In addition, several agents, believed to total six, were forced out at the Miami field office due to their involvement in the politically motivated raid at Mar-a-Lago, a raid that included authorization to use deadly force. Note that this was at Trump’s Florida estate, where he had Secret Service protection.

Other agents forced out were tied to the so-called “Arctic Frost” scandal, described as a “corrupt investigation” overseen by former FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault and later by slip-and-fall attorney and special counsel Jack Smith.

On Thursday, Smith testified before the House Judiciary Committee, where he was slammed by Republicans who accused him of overreach for issuing subpoenas against several Republican lawmakers, including then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who was laughably deemed a “flight risk.” News of the firings came shortly afterward.

Under questioning, Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) grilled Smith about his subpoena of McCarthy’s phone records and whether he considered him to be a flight risk. Smith admitted that he did not; however, Gill pressed Smith on why his non-disclosure order referred to McCarthy as a flight risk. Smith stumbled and stammered and could not answer the question.

Smith told lawmakers Thursday that he expects to be indicted for his role in Arctic Frost.

Democrats, from the Chinese spy-banging Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) to communist sympathizer Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), meanwhile, held up Smith as the second coming of Jesus Christ, calling him the “Gold Standard” of federal prosecutors.

Despite that characterization, Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) noted that Smith had his clock cleaned in some of his most high-profile cases, including those against former vice presidential candidate John Edwards and former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, the latter being thrown out by the United States Supreme Court.

Edwards’ case ended in a hung jury on nearly all the charges and an acquittal on the others, resulting in a mistrial.
