The year was 2020. The lockdowns - and the riots - were in full swing. Yet that wasn't going to stop the Portland Police in Oregon from honoring the fallen.
Despite everything happening in Portland, a large group of officers decided to pay a powerful tribute – one that left us in tears.
The members of the Portland Police Association and the Portland Police Bureau Honor Guard believe it is a privilege and honor to attend the funerals of their brothers and sisters across the nation who have died in the line of duty for their communities.
But with all that was happening in the world, their Honor Guard was no longer able to personally attend memorials and funerals.
And so they offered this tribute to the fallen.
We bring this to you again today as a solemn reminder of the men and women behind the Thin Blue Line.
