BREVARD COUNTY, FL- One sheriff of a Florida county isn't holding back on the federal government after apprehending multiple illegal immigrants engaged in an organized theft.
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey revealed that his agency arrested a group of eight suspects last week. The accused were allegedly caught loading 9,000 pounds of stolen palmetto berries into the back of a U-Haul- a haul with an estimated value of $7,300, according to Fox News.
The theft, which the haulers had allegedly carried out themselves, was only stopped when a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission noticed the U-Haul traveling unusually on the Interstate 95 freeway, according to Fox 35 Orlando.
Four of the suspects were identified as illegal immigrants, according to the sheriff. Ivey revealed that some of the illegal alien suspects were convicted felons who had been previously deported. Two suspects were in the process of applying for United States citizenship at the time of their arrests. Another suspect is currently under felony probation for identity theft.
"They're out there committing crimes and victimizing our citizens- while trying to gain citizenship themselves," Ivey said of the situation.
"The fact that they are in our country illegally...drives me absolutely insane, and will most likely tick you off as well," Ivey stated in the video. "The best part for me is that when we ask why this person can’t be deported or why is this person still in our country after committing multiple crimes. We’re told that unless they commit a violent felony, they’re not going to be deported no matter how many nonviolent crimes they’ve committed."
Ivey placed the blame squarely on the feet of the federal government.
"This is a complete and total failure on Washington, D.C., for not allowing the laws of our great nation to be enforced."
The suspects are being held on a $2,500 bond in the Brevard County Jail. They're yet to enter a plea in the case.
The state of Florida made the theft of palmetto berries a third-degree felony earlier this year. The valuable berries have medicial uses.
More illegal immigrants have infiltrated the nation's borders under President Joe Biden than under any other administration, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.
"Illegal immigration doesn't stop at the border. It filters into every community in our country, and here it is, impacting our own community- that sits over 1,300 miles away," Ivey said of the predicament.

Since many of these illegals cannot be returned to their native countries, we should be jailing them instead of releasing them into our streets and liberal local governments, providing them with money and free housing that we pay for!
