MIAMI-DADE, FL -A woman in her fifties is facing charges after deputies say she threw a bucket of feces onto a neighbor she accused of sleeping with her husband.
The woman, identified as 50-year-old Yirsi Esperanza Machado Rivera, was arrested on charges of burglary and battery after she allegedly threw a bucket of feces onto her next-door neighbor over a suspected affair, FOX 19 reported.
"So, this is an interesting case. She thinks the neighbor is having relations with her husband, so she pushes her way into the victim’s house and then throws poop on the victim, a bucket of poop," said Judge Mindy Glazer during the suspect's bond court hearing.
According to an arrest report, deputies said that Machado Rivera and the victim live on separate sides of a split trailer in a mobile home park near Miami Gardens. Around 6:15 p.m. on Monday, September 7, the suspect went to the victim's side of the trailer and "began banging on the door."
When the victim answered, Machado Rivera accused her of having a sexual relationship with her husband. Deputies say that she then allegedly forced herself into the victim's home, shoved her, and threw a bucket filled with human feces onto her before leaving.
Machado Rivera supposedly told a witness before the incident that "she pooped in a bucket to throw it in the victim's face," according to the arrest report. However, she told deputies in a later interview that she was simply trying to get rid of the bucket of "caca" she'd been using because her toilet was broken. She then denied entering the victim's home or throwing the "caca" on her.
Machado Rivera appeared in court on Tuesday, September 8, where she was ordered held without bond as she awaits trial for the alleged charges. She is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to PEOPLE.
