CASPER, WY - A Florida man in his forties was reportedly seeking Buffalo Bills quarterback and 2024 MVP Josh Allen to pitch him to go and play for the Dallas Cowboys when he was arrested for DUI on Cole Creek Road in Wyoming.

The Natrona County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) said that a homeowner in the area called to report a white SUV trespassing on his land and that when questioned, the driver told him it was none of his business and nearly struck him when driving off, Oil City News reported.

Upon arriving in the area, Deputy Ryan Schulz said that the suspect's vehicle came speeding past the other way, going around 64 mph, prompting the deputy to turn around and catch up. The deputy successfully pulled over the SUV. Schulz said a bottle of Jim Beam was visible in the passenger seat.

When the deputy asked the driver if he had been drinking, he reportedly replied, "Of course." The driver then proceeded to explain that he was looking for Josh Allen, who recently came back to Wyoming in 2025 to retire his #17 jersey from his time as a star University of Wyoming Cowboy from 2015 to 2017.

The Florida man hit all the indicators for impairment on the horizontal gaze and one-leg stand field sobriety tests, the sheriff's office said. He also hit five out of eight indicators on the walk-and-turn test and then allegedly blew a .238% blood-alcohol concentration on the portable breath test.

At his court appearance this past week, he pleaded not guilty. He identified himself as a disabled veteran, adding that he had been in the Casper area for a couple of weeks. When Judge Cynthia Sweet asked about his plans to stay in Casper or return to Florida, he said he would probably stay.

He said he would hire his own lawyer and was given a $1,000 cash-only bond. In addition to the DUI charge, prosecutors have charged him with trespassing.
