TUCSON, AZ – Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents arrested a 46-year-old Arizona man earlier in October who is accused of child sex trafficking as well as the production of child sex abuse materials (CSAM). Authorities emphasized the alarming nature of the case as the suspect in question reportedly worked “as a youth group leader.”
On October 16th, ICE HSI agents took Casey Goslin into custody following a joint investigation conducted alongside the Tucson Police Department where authorities were looking into “a platform used to perform livestreamed child sexual abuse sessions.”
Authorities allege Goslin was involved to an unspecified degree with the illicit platform, as well as “the production of child sexual abuse material with child victims provided by child sex traffickers in the Philippines.” Goslin reportedly utilized two different usernames online while allegedly engaged in the criminal conduct, with authorities citing the usernames as “live:.cid.bbdbec6f18b26922” and “live:.cid.de5ca094f7bdd45.”
Federal investigators are also seeking information on any other potential victims of Goslin due to the fact that the accused child predator was “employed as a youth group leader and director for multiple religious organizations” in Arizona.
The Grand Canyon Synod, which is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), has since removed a page on their website which served as a bio for Goslin. However, an archive of the since-deleted webpage gives insight into the amount of access Goslin had with innumerable children, some of which were in extremely vulnerable environments like juvenile correction facilities.
Goslin’s since-deleted bio notes that he “taught preschool, led outdoor camping ministries, worked in a juvenile correction facility, and coordinated youth ministries between multiple churches,” noting that he’d been doing so for nearly 30 years. Furthermore, Goslin also identified as a “Disney Adult” and apparently has children and grandchildren.
Neither Grand Canyon Synod nor the ELCA have made any public statements regarding Goslin’s arrest. Additionally, Grand Canyon Synod has seemingly removed all mention of Goslin from their webpage, as well as photos that featured the youth group leader in past blog posts.
