ALACHUA COUNTY, FL- While many people in the country mourned the death of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, one member of a Florida school board showed what a sick, demented individual she is by mocking Hogan’s death. This is something we have come to expect from liberal Democrats.
Whenever someone addresses a shock comment made by someone about the death of a famous (or even not-so-famous) person, nine times out of ten, you can bet that the person making that comment is a liberal Democrat and they are talking about a conservative Republican.
Such is the case of Sarah Rockwell, a virtue-signaling, mask-wearing nutcase who sits on the Alachua County school board. Come to think of it, the mask is probably a good idea. Underneath that mask, Rockwell looks precisely as you would expect an unhinged leftist female to look.
In since-deleted comments on Facebook, Rockwell thought it wise and intelligent to post the following upon learning of Hogan’s death:
“Oh, did the Hulk die? I didn’t even know. Good. One less MAGA in the world,” she wrote.
Yes, she actually typed that out and hit send. This woman, remember, sits on a school board, a board that makes decisions on curriculum for school children. It is clear that the unhinged Rockwell doesn’t belong seated on the board of a circus, let alone a board of education.
In the post consisting of a few comments, Rockwell responded to a poster, writing:
“...he worked with the McMahons [Vince and Linda] to union bust professional wrestling; he’s never been a good guy. I feel absolutely nothing about his death.”
She sounds like a sweetheart.
After Rockwell’s posts went viral, Corey DeAngelis, a senior fellow at the American Culture Project and a school choice advocate, wrote on X that the school district had shut down replies on its posts. Rockwell also limited Facebook replies on her post after writing that she “deeply” regretted her unhinged post.
She wrote that she made a “cruel and flippant comment” on her “personal” Facebook account regarding Hogan’s death. She expressed “deep regret” and said she had since removed it.
She later wrote that she wanted “to assure all of you that the best interests of our children and our public schools are at the center of everything I do as a board member.”
If celebrating the death of someone is an example of acting in “the best interests of our children and our public schools, it would be interesting to see how she would act if she were working in the “worst interests” of the students in Alachua County.
Rockwell’s panties (if she wears them) were twisted because during last year’s Republican National Convention that nominated President Trump, Hogan made an appearance touting Trump’s nomination. That of course made him public enemy number 1A behind Trump, to leftists like Rockwell.
Rockwell, if she were truly sorry, would resign her position on the school board. It is clear she lacks the sensibility, compassion, judgment, and empathy necessary to work on a school board. How can parents trust her to act in the best interests of their children when she is so angry, so bitter, and so hateful that she actually celebrates the death of a husband, father, and role model to so many?
You do not have to like Hulk Hogan, nor respect his politics. However, as a human being, out of the simple sense of human decency, you do not celebrate his death.
Sadly, this is what we’ve become accustomed to with liberal Democrats, especially liberal Democrat “educators.”
