Illegal alien charged with child rape sprung from jail by MA court - without calling ICE

NANTUCKET, MA - A Salvadorian illegal alien facing several criminal charges stemming from the alleged rape of a child was set loose in the community by a Massachusetts court this summer- without the knowledge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The alien, Bryan Daniel Aldana-Arevalo, was charged with rape of a child with a 10-year age difference and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 in July, according to the New York Post. In spite of Aldana-Arevalo's grevious charges, the Salvadorian national was able to bail out of jail just three days after being arrested.

The Nantucket District Court authorized the alleged rapist's bond without informing federal immigration authorities. After securing his release, Aldana-Arevalo remained loose in the local community for nearly a month and a half- before ICE arrested the suspect on September 10. The alleged rapist now awaits a first appearance in federal immigration court, as well as trial on his Massachusetts criminal charges.

Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston Field Office Director Todd M. Lyons spoke to the dark nature of the allegations against Aldana-Arevalo, touting his arrest in an ICE news release earlier this week.

“Bryan Daniel Aldana-Arevalo stands accused of some detestable and disturbing crimes against a Nantucket child. He represents a significant danger to the children of our Massachusetts communities. ERO Boston will not tolerate such a threat to the most vulnerable of our population. We will continue to prioritize the safety of our public by arresting and removing egregious noncitizen offenders from our New England neighborhoods."

It's unclear when Aldana-Arevalo's next Massachusetts court date will take place. It's not uncommon for aliens convicted of sex offenses to be deported immediately after finishing their state or federal prison sentences, although the practice of deporting illegal alien sex offenders isn't a statutory requirement of federal law.

The island of Nantucket is a short distance away from Martha's Vineyard, an ultra-affluent vacation community frequented by some of New England's wealthiest and well-connected limosuine liberals. Former President Barack Obama holds a luxury residence on the island.

Martha's Vineyard was the scene of contention between locals and illegal aliens provided transportation to the island by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2022. Many of the island's liberal elite- accustomed to support for open borders and the weakening of American immigration laws- expressed fury at the development, insisting that their own community was no place to ship the freshly arrived illegals.
