Learning nothing from Trump's landslide, CA AG vows to defy his mass deportation of illegal aliens

SACRAMENTO, CA- If only Democrats spent as much energy securing our borders and fighting crime. California Attorney General Rob Bonta, a far-left Democrat, is joining the chorus of other left-wing Democrats doubling down on plans to defy President-elect Trump’s vow to enforce federal law and deport illegal aliens under the direction of his incoming border czar Tom Homan.

Fox News Digital reports that last week, Bonta sent a set of guidelines to courthouses, healthcare facilities, universities, schools, labor agencies, public libraries, and shelters demanding state-run agencies adopt policies to resist President-elect Trump’s alleged “draconian” and “inhumane” immigration enforcement proposals.

“My office will continue to use the full force of the law and every tool at our disposal to protect the rights of California’s immigrants–and we need staff at these critical locations to do the same,” the unhinged Bonta said. “We cannot let the Trump deportation machine create a culture of fear and mistrust that prevents immigrants from accessing vital public services.”

Bonta’s office said the guidance provides model policies and recommendations that “guide public institutions in complying with California law limiting state and local participation in immigration enforcement activities.”

“In California, we believe our public resources, like libraries, hospitals, courthouses, and schools, should be available for all without fear of civil immigration enforcement,” Bonta said during a press conference announcing the defiance of federal immigration law. “The model policies we’re issuing to public facilities–provide policy recommendations that may mitigate disruptions from immigration enforcement actions at public institutions.”

In 2017, California passed the so-called “California Values Act,” which Bonta’s office said “prohibits state and local law enforcement agencies from assisting with immigration enforcement with limited exceptions.”

The guidelines prohibit the “unauthorized” collection or disclosure of information that “might indicate an individual’s or family’s citizenship or immigration status” while also putting in place a policy to always refer federal law enforcement officials to a designated person who will “have the authority to respond to immigration enforcement-related requests.”

Bonta noted in his statement that his office is in place to protect illegal aliens, not legal California residents and visitors.

“I want to emphasize that the California DOJ is here to protect immigrants’ safety, immigrants’ freedoms, and immigrants’ rights,” Bonta said. “Let me be clear, President-elect Trump’s agenda is draconian, and his rhetoric xenophobic. Bonta went on to call the plan to deport the invaders “fiscally irresponsible” while calling illegals ‘the backbone of our nation.”

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) slammed Bonta and Gov. Gain Newom, noting illegal aliens are costing California taxpayers untold amounts of money by making the state a “magnet” for illegal aliens.

“He’ll give them free healthcare. I mean, he denies California citizens certain things but not to those who come illegally that’s why we attract so many, and it’s costing a great deal, we have a huge deficit in California,” McCarthy said.

McCarthy is correct. According to the Legislative Analysts Office, California is facing a $68 billion deficit in 2024-25.

McCarthy said Bonta was simply trying to “make a name for himself” in Democratic politics even though in November’s presidential election, illegal immigration and related crime was a significant issue for many voters.

“These attorneys general should take a deep breath, listen to what the American public said, and understand that immigration was one of the primary reasons why Donald Trump won, and it wasn’t a Republican issue, [it was] Republican and Democrat too,” he said.

On Nov. 25, Newsweek reported that a CBS News/YouGov poll showed that 57 percent of Americans supported a mass deportation plan versus 43 percent who were opposed.

Bonta and other radical Democrats learned nothing from November’s election.

Defy...? I hope they actively interfere so that they can be arrested. That would be a great step in the right direction in correcting these criminal supporting idiots.

Bonta like many others like him who suffer from the condition known as the TDS (Trump Delusion Syndrome) is poco loco in the coco when it comes to facing reality like the intelligent human being he is supposed to be. But instead, he prefers to go against the reality of life and nature and doubles down on his wrong headed delusion.

From Biblical times people were already being identified as either tending left or tending right. Leftists are born and instead of recognizing their incorrect tendencies instead double down and make things worse. No one is perfect but everyone has free will and the ability to use that will for good.

He is a domestic enemy of the United States . What he says he will do is treasonous. I hope he and the governor are arrested .

Federal law will win, hope they are defunded and those in the way are arrested. How dare they take taxpayer money to defend criminals that are illegal. That should be a crime they are charged with, they act as though they can do whatever they want with zero consequences. Lock them all up.
