Quillin was reportedly doxxed by another account, "Insider Wire," and issued a “formal apology” before terminating the X account.
The “Insider Wire,” identified “LA Scanner” as Quillin and posted a conviction record from the Superior Court of California in Ventura County, which detailed Quillin’s conviction for Felony Stalking (California Penal Code §646.9).
“I should not have posted the locations of ICE raids, and I will no longer do so,” Quillin posted from the LAScanner account, explaining, “I’ve contacted the authorities to take responsibility, and they are currently reviewing my account to determine if any laws were broken.”
He added, “If it’s found that I have violated the law, I will cooperate fully and turn myself in.”
NEW: The owner of 'LAScanner' on X has deactivated his account and says he is turning himself in if he violated the law after doxing ICE agents.

On Sunday evening, the account posted, “LA25 riots are getting WILD,” according to Trending Politics News. “I genuinely hope this doesn’t end in anybody losing their life — but it’s starting to feel like it might,” Quillin added in a subsequent post, before resuming posting the locations of ICE activity.
“If this account gets banned, you can stay updated by following my personal page, @JackQuillinTV,” the post said, seeming to confirm Quillin's identity. The personal page linked in this post has also been set to private since the release.
Andy Ngo, Senior Editor of The Post Millennial, described Quillin as a “leftist LGBTQ+ activist,” and added that his possession of a police scanner could violate the terms of his sentencing.
A person has come forward to say that the person behind @LAScanner, leftist LGBTQ+ activist Jack Quillin, is a felony convict. Quillin made repeated credible threats to a victim. He may be in violation of his sentence by possessing a police scanner.

He continued after stating he knew it could cost somebody their life. That is criminal negligence/intent.
