DU LAC, WI - According to an article in the Daily Signal, the Wisconsin Department Of Corrections is housing a man who is imprisoned for the rape of his own daughter with female inmates. The man, Mark Campbell, has transitioned to a female since being incarcerated.
Campbell is currently housed in at Taycheedah Correctional Institution, which is a prison for women located in Fon Du Lac. Campbell was convicted of first-degree sexual assault of a child, with that child being his own 10-year-old daughter.
The man is currently 52 years old, 5'9" tall, and 225 pounds. He can be seen in his latest mugshots sporting long hair and eyeliner.
According to court documents, Campbell is serving a 44-year sentence with 34 left to serve plus years of strict supervised probation. The documents say he would rape his daughter when his son was out of the room or at school. The boy would often come home and witness the assaults.
Campbell first petitioned the Wisconsin DOC to begin the transition process in 2013, but the DOC denied the request when it was finally reviewed in 2016. He brought his case to the 7th circuit court of appeals on the grounds that the ruling was indifferent to his medical needs.
That request was denied by the 7th circuit. However, in 2020 a federal judge in Wisconsin ruled in favor of Campbell, and he was then moved to an all-female prison in preparation for taxpayer-funded surgery to transition him to female.
"The rights of transgender persons and sex reassignment surgery remain politically controversial, even outside the prison context," said U.S. District Court judge James Peterson after the ruling. "Some members of the public are outraged at any effort to improve the health and well-being of inmates, but the true public interest lies in alleviating the needless suffering by those who are dependent on the government for their care."
Peterson even used female pronouns regarding Campbell in his follow up statement, which said, "I decline to impose any further prerequisites on Campbell’s sex re-assignment surgery, she has waited long enough."
Wisconsin Republican State Representative Janel Brandtjen spoke to the Daily Signal on the record in a phone interview, stating, "It’s incomprehensible that this is where we are at in the justice system, that deviants now get to pretend that they are a different sex so that they can manipulate women within the women’s prison."
Brandtjen, who is on the state's corrections committee, added that Campbell’s current whereabouts is "outrageous," and added, "As legislators, we will pursue every option that we can to have our female inmates safe and stop this horrendous misuse of taxpayer money and abuse of the justice system."
Nationwide, over half of trans identifying prisoners have been imprisoned for sex crimes.

"Transgender" is not a class of people, nor is it an identity. It is a mental illness formerly called "gender identity disorder." For reasons of politics, this was renamed "gender dysphoria" but it is still a mental illness. We have never treated mental illness by going along with the delusions - until now. This hurts everyone.
