BOSTON, MA—There is a lot of competition when it comes to unhinged liberal governors. However, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey (D) must be included in any top five.

Healey, who has never met an illegal criminal gang-banger she wasn’t in love with, also loves herself some Chinese communists, according to The National Pulse.

The outlet reports that Healey recently hosted a Chinese official, Consul General Chen Li, at the Massachusetts State House and promoted the meeting with several photos and remarks on social media.

Healey expressed her appreciation for the meeting while touting the Bay State’s economic ties to China. Yvonne Hao, former Massachusetts Secretary of Economic Development, who remains an advisor to the Healey administration, also attended the meeting.

“Massachusetts is home to a vibrant Chinese-American community, and China is one of our largest trading partners,’ Healey wrote in a post on X. She added: “Glad to welcome Ambassador H.E. Chen Li of the People’s Republic of China to the State House, and grateful for the opportunity to discuss future collaboration!”

Healey noted the state’s significant trading partnership with China, its third-largest trading partner, with over $7.2 billion in trade in 2024. She said the state’s imports from China include toys, apparel, and sports equipment [made by slave laborers] while Massachusetts exports industrial machinery and medical devices to China. Chen Li, who oversees nearly a dozen Chinese states as part of his jurisdiction, is a proponent of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ideology and has been a genocide denier concerning the Uyghurs. He said he was pleased to meet with Healey.

The meeting between Healey and Chen was only the latest such meeting between high-ranking Chinese officials and Democratic politicians or educational institutions. Chen’s predecessor, Huang Ping, was involved in an indictment related to violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), visa fraud, and a myriad of other charges. That case also resulted in the indictment of Linda Sun, former deputy chief of staff to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY).

Earlier this year, Chen posted about participating in New York City parades, which included Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and rotund anti-Trump Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, according to Fox News. Chen also met with the brother-in-law of Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) to light up the Empire State Building to mark the Lunar New Year.

Recently, The National Pulse reported that far-left Boston Mayor Michelle Wu received substantial campaign contributions from a CCP-linked cultural association. Moreover, the head of the Chinese cultural group, which is tied to Wu, has connections to the United Front Work Department (UFWD), an internal intelligence and propaganda organization within the Chinese Communist Party. Law Enforcement Today also reported on this association.
