The Next Generation of Protectors campaign has officially reached its top ten for the Next Generation of Protectors Award!
Earlier this year, Law Enforcement Today partnered with GALLS to launch a national search for outstanding young professionals who represent the future of American policing. Departments, coworkers, and community members nationwide submitted nominations highlighting young leaders who serve with courage and integrity.
After reviewing an impressive group of nominees, GALLS selected ten remarkable finalists. These men and women reflect the strength and character of the next wave of protectors serving communities nationwide. Now, the decision is in the hands of the public, and voting is officially open.
The Top Ten Finalists include:

• Zachary Adam – Westfield, MA Police Department
• Daniel Holcomb – Cherokee County Alabama Sheriff’s Office
• Tanner Williams – Cabot Police Department
• Daniel Colwell – Chandler PD
• Jason Duey – Sheriff’s Office Hanover County
• Derek Akers – Sheriff’s Office Hanover County
• Adam Strehlow – Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
• Carlie Elliot – Department of the Air Force

This campaign showcases the mission shared by Law Enforcement Today and GALLS to highlight and uplift the men and women who protect our communities. It is a chance to recognize those who step into the arena every day, often without thanks, and to shine a light on the young leaders who will shape the profession for decades to come.
The winner will receive national recognition through both organizations and will be honored through the National Law Enforcement Hall of Fame, where the stories of bravery, sacrifice, and service are preserved and celebrated. Each finalist will be featured across Law Enforcement Today and GALLS platforms as part of this nationwide spotlight.
Voting is open through December 5, and the winner will be announced shortly after ballots close.
