HAMTRAMCK, MI - On Friday, September 11, the United States will commemorate the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history, an attack that was carried out by Muslim terrorists. Twenty-five years ago, 19 hijackers took control of four airliners and managed to hit three of their targets: both towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Only through the courage of passengers on the fourth aircraft was another attack prevented. That aircraft was believed to be headed toward the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., but was brought down when those passengers stormed the flight deck. So, what did we learn from that day?
For one, we learned that in a city that has been overrun by Muslims, the now-former chief of police has been accused of engaging in a “pattern” of domestic violence in his home and of telling responding officers that wife-beating isn’t a “formal” crime, Not the Bee reports.
Former police chief Jamiel Altaheri allegedly engaged in a “disturbing pattern of domestic violence,” according to Real Clear Investigations, and ordered his officers not to write the incidents up in formal incident reports because domestic violence against a female is not a “formal” offense.
Real Clear Investigations reports that on two occasions in 2024, Altaheri allegedly “hit and punch[ed]” the mother of his child. When officers arrived, he told them not to write up incidents, saying, “You guys here in Michigan don’t handle things the correct way; you guys make everything formal,” with the implication being that such incidents should be handled “following the tenets of Sharia law, which does not proscribe wife-beating as a crime,” RCI wrote.
The outlet reached out to Altaheri for comment, but no response was received. He is also accused of punching a man “in the head at a hookah lounge in Dearborn [Michigan].”
Altaheri came to Hamtramck from the NYPD, where he co-founded the NYPD Muslim Officers Society and the Yemeni American Law Enforcement Officers Association. To nobody’s surprise, he also headed the department’s Office of Equity and Inclusion, where his focus was to hire more Muslims on the force.
This was in the city where nearly 3,000 Americans died, including 343 members of the New York City Fire Department.
As Not the Bee reports, after filling the NYPD with more than its share of Muslims, he then moved to Michigan, where he followed the same course.

“The investigation uncovered multiple incidents of Altaheri allegedly driving intoxicated in his city-issued truck. It details a time last September when he allegedly drove to and from a strip club with other officers.
Evidence also supported the allegations that the chief handed a loaded gun to a civilian volunteer and told her to put it to someone’s head.
The investigation also found at least five 911 calls to Altaheri’s home in the span of five months. In one of the calls, officers responded to a 911-hand up call with yelling in the background. The investigation found Altheri then allegedly pressured the responding officers to lie on a police report to help him in a custody dispute.
According to the report, Altaheri allegedly recovered a stolen car for a friend without following proper protocol. He also allegedly directed an evidence technician to wipe his phone minutes after he was placed on leave.”
All of the above took place over a one-year period from May 2024 to May 2025 while he served as chief.
It is not just Michigan. Paterson, New Jersey, sits just over twenty miles northwest of the site of the September 11 terrorist attacks at Ground Zero.
According to Real Clear Investigations, the Paterson Police Department has also been infiltrated by Muslims, with over 30 now in the police department. Some have sewn the Palestinian flag on their uniforms. Former Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora was sworn in on the Quran.
In Clifton, New Jersey, eighteen miles from New York City, Islamists are proposing a 40,000-square-foot mosque in place of a converted church. In Prospect Park, N.J., Muslims have elected a Syrian-born man as mayor and three other members to the six-member city council.
In New York City, RCI reports that Islamic activists hold at least 10 high-ranking positions in the administration of Muslim Mayor Zohran Mamdani. One of those, Ramzi Kassem, is Mamdani’s top legal advisor and is in a position, the outlet reports, to influence New York’s anti-terror policies. It was Kassem who led the 2013 civil rights lawsuit that ended the NYPD’s surveillance of mosques and imams believed to be involved with radicalizing young men to carry out violent jihad, RCI reported.
Kassem defended al-Qaeda terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay and more recently represented Mahmoud Khalil, the Syrian-born pro-Hamas, anti-Israel agitator who led an antisemitic protest at Columbia University.
The NYPD, which lost 23 members in the line of duty on September 11, now has over 3,500 Muslim officers, which accounts for roughly 10% of the department’s authorized force. Over 40 Muslims are now in NYPD leadership positions.
How far has the NYPD fallen? A Pakistani-born man, Waheed Akhter, was recently promoted from captain to deputy inspector. He is also president of the NYPD Muslim Officers Society, an organization “dedicated to building trust and improving relations between the Muslim community and the NYPD.”
That group has lobbied the department to bend to Islamist traditions, with the department now allowing female officers to wear hijabs and male officers to wear turbans and kufi caps, as well as beards. The Muslim Officers Society also organizes annual pilgrimages to Mecca.
In 2001, Americans vowed to never forget. Unfortunately, those in cities like Hamtramck, Paterson, Clifton, and yes, New York City, have completely forgotten the travesty of the 9/11 terrorist attacks...and are putting people representing the very ideology that brought down the towers at Ground Zero into positions of power.
