Security camera footage has been released showing brazen criminals with high powered rifles easily taking control of housing and apartment complexes. They met little resistance and set a new standard of violence across America- a troubling trend.

It has been reported, and is common sense at this point, that many of these criminals taking refuge in America are a direct result of the open border that Biden and Harris have created. People from all over the world, including dangerous gangs, criminals, and even known terrorists have been waltzing across the open border scott-free. And their plans don’t include peace and living the American dream.

Instead, they want to cause havoc and create nightmarish conditions for law-abiding citizens. Such as violently taking over entire apartment buildings.

But what is most troubling is their source of funding and their mission.

Michael Letts, an LEO advocate, political analyst and CEO/Founder of InVest USA, a nonprofit organization that provides free vests to first responders, has some insight into this new trend. He was recently featured on a podcast [view it here] and offered insight into this new problem.

“If you notice those are the Venezuelan gangs, Tren de Aragua, have a standing order, they get their funding from Iran, they’re getting their funding from terrorist organizations, but they're standing order is this they are putting a premium or a prize on killing cops,” he said.

Common criminals have typically tried to be discreet in their criminal activity. And it makes sense, who wants to get caught? But this new type of criminal, especially the migrant criminal, is dangerous, reckless, and doesn’t seem to care about consequences or law and order in general.

And it puts police officers right in the middle of this historic criminal epidemic.

“They [criminals] are using long range rifles, what is the significance in that? There's a huge significance because, quite frankly, it's one of the reasons why we created InVest USA. Back in the day when we started, 52% of cops had no vest at all. The only vest available was a concealable vest which is the one you wear under your shirt. Concealable vests were great during that time because criminals only used pistols. They didn't want to advertise that ‘I'm going to rob you,’” Letts said.

This new criminal stands out in a troubling way.

“Now they [criminals] are proud of what they do, they’re proud of being criminals and assailants. So, they're using long range rifles, AK-47’s and others - a rifle will go right through a concealable vest as if it weren't even there. It'll cut right through it like butter,” he said.

“So we had to stop passing out a concealable vest and create some great new technology called active shooter vests, which has titanium plates [and] will basically stop anything. But unfortunately, 90% of cops across the country do not have active shooter vests,” he added.

There is a growing concern among Americans from both sides of the isle as to the growing crime issue across the country. And many are asking why police aren’t properly prepared for the increasing crime and the growing lethality criminals are displaying.

“Mainly because we have ‘defund the police’, when you have all kinds of policies and procedures to try to destroy law enforcement – that’s why,” he said.

Many police agencies tout the fact that they provide concealable vests to their officers. It’s a start, but according to Letts, isn’t nearly enough to assure the safety of cops.

“That’s why InVest has to step in to make sure we take care of all of our officers with an active shooter vest,” he said.

Michael Letts wants to help give police officers the proper equipment to deal with this new type of criminal. He wants to help them both solve the criminal problem and then make it back home safely to their families.
