Minnesota: ICE Nabs Somali Fraudster Repeatedly Photographed with Tim Walz and Ilhan Omar

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - An illegal Somali alien with a lengthy criminal record of fraud was arrested Friday as part of the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal aliens, The New York Post reported. What makes his arrest even more interesting is who he has ties to...Democrats, including Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar, a leftist.

Abdul Dahir Ibrahim was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and is being held in Nebraska at an ICE facility called the “Cornhusker Clink” by the Department of Homeland Security.

Fox News Digital reports Ibrahim has an extensive criminal history and has been subject to removal orders since 2004. Before he slithered into the United States, he was convicted of asylum and welfare fraud in Canada, Fox reported.

In 2002, Ibrahim was arrested for providing false information to police and driving without a license in Dakota County, Minnesota.

Ibrahim, who resembles one of the Somali pirates in the movie Captain Phillips, has had his photograph taken with Omar and Walz, along with the real Captain Phillips, Omar Fateh, who just lost the Minneapolis mayoral election to the inept Jacob Frey. That wasn’t lost on the Department of Homeland Security, which posted images of Ibrahim posing with the three amigos above.

“Criminal illegal alien, Abdul Dahir Ibrahim, has been linked to Minnesota’s top sanctuary politicians,” the DHS post read. “Ibrahim was convicted in Canada for Asylum and Welfare Fraud before he entered the United States. On April 3, 2004, an immigration judge ordered Ibrahim removed, citing the significant amount of fraud associated with him.

“Bye-bye, Abdul.”

Fox News reported that Fateh wrote a letter of recommendation for Ibrahim during his immigration proceedings.

The Post reported that Ibrahim entered the US via New York in 1995 after being deported from Canada. You have to be pretty bad to get deported from Canada, although it wasn’t as socialist back in 1995 as it is now.

Ibrahim also lied on one of his asylum petitions, claiming his sister and her five children were his spouse and his own kids, according to documents. The judge wasn’t buying it and accused him of having a “complete lack of credibility” in rejecting his petition.

Ibrahim was later granted temporary protected status (TPS), which protected him from being deported for ten years, Fox News reported. An application asking to extend his TPS status has yet to be adjudicated.

However, President Trump recently announced that he was terminating the TPS program for Somali nationals. That came as a bombshell report out of Minnesota showed that Somali nationals have been bilking US taxpayers for over $1 billion in fraud related to COVID-19 funds.

In response to that report, ICE launched a large-scale operation in Minnesota and the Twin Cities in particular last week, targeting illegal aliens, Somalis in particular.
