Multi-agency task force descends on AOC's district to combat rampant prostitution, street crime

NEW YORK, NY - New reporting from Queens indicates that New York state troopers are engaged in a lengthy operation to combat prostitution, illegal vendors and robberies that have plagued the district of Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The troopers are a component of a multi-agency task force assembled by New York City Mayor Eric Adams as "Operation Restore Roosevelt."

According to Fox News, the operation is set to focus on the neighborhoods of Elmhurst, North Corona, and Jackson Heights, which have become known ignominivously as a red-light district described by one anonymous Democratic politician as "having more brothels than bodegas." The area, heavily flooded with illegal immigrants sees barely clothed illegal immigrant prostitutes plying their trade on the streets morning, noon and night.

One image captured by Fox News’ photo journalist Michael Dorgan shows no less than ten alleged prostitutes in a single frame.

The outlet reported that cameras recorded a lineup of 19 alleged prostitutes on the sidewalk of a single block on Roosevelt Avenue, referred to as the "Avenue of the Sweethearts." Around the corner, there were seven more with one woman witnessed offering sex for $60,
Mayor Adams told a press conference Tuesday. Illegal food vendors and clothing vendors also choke the sidewalks of the neighborhood.

"We will end sex trafficking in this area. We are not here for one day and go away. We're here for the problem to go away." Adams, along with NYPD top brass represented by Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry, told reporters that the agencies will deploy nine Lieutenants, 42 sergeants and 176 patrol officers to tackle the rampant crime.

The same day Democrat politician Hiram Monserrate told the outlet that a large group of 200 NYPD Officers and New York State Troopers met and deployed into the area he described as an “urban crime zone.”

Monserrate said in a statement, "Today, true leadership stood up and began the process of taking Roosevelt Avenue back from the street gangs, cartels, human traffickers, street walkers and other criminal operations. We support our police, and the community is looking forward to seeing positive results. We need public safety and quality of life returned… and we will remain vigilant."
