NEW YORK CITY, NY- A former Secret Service agent cast serious doubts on the capability of his former agency in a Thursday Fox News interview, expressing his belief that President-elect Donald Trump may face a third serious attempt on his life this year due to the state of the agency.
Richard Staropoli strongly criticized Secret Service Director Ron Rowe on the basis of his demeanor during testimony before a House of Representatives task force probing the circumstances behind two assassination attempts on the president-elect as a candidate earlier this year- with Trump being shot in the ear in the first incident.
Rowe engaged in a heated argument with Texas Rep. Pat Fallon, who accused the former of appearing at a 9/11 memorial event Trump attended in a self-serving bid to lobby to keep his position in the event Trump won the 2024 election.
"The Secret Service that you see out there today is not the Secret Service of yesteryear," Staropoli said in light of the testy hearing.
“I’m not highly confident at all... Somewhere along the line they’ve completely dropped the ball. That testimony that you saw today was purely a smokescreen to cover up the shortcomings of a politically compromised agency. It should never have gotten to that point."
"This guy is yet to take any responsibility for any of the shortcomings that led to the shooting in Butler, as well as the incident on that golf course." Staropoli pointed to what he identified as Rowe's inability to answer questions and maintain his composure, accusing him of mismanaging the agency and cutting back on resources that could've been used to fulfill its mission.

"I don’t think I’d be alone in saying that I certainly can see something happening between now and Inauguration Day," Staropoli said of the prospects of future attempts against Trump.
Staropoli even predicted that future assassination attempts would be more complex- a factor that could render the threat even more severe.
"And it’s not going to be some 20-year-old kid on the roof of a building that’s allowed to get within 100 yards."
"It’s going to be something of a much bigger magnitude and I don’t think the Secret Service is anywhere equipped to handle that situation.”

The FBI and Secret Service Protection services need to be completely dissolved. They are a part of the deep administrative state. Of course, the Secret Service could stay in the business of managing federal currency crime. Our Founding Fathers would never have a greet to a powerful federal police agency such as the FBI. Most of the senior staff need to not just be fired, but arrested for high crimes and misdemeanors. Trump needs to choose his own security details which should be paid for by the federal government. No DEI-CRT hires. No females under any circumstances.
