Pizza delivery woman stabs pregnant customer 14 times over $2 tip

KISSIMMEE, FL- Even though she delivered pizza and not Burger King, a pizza delivery woman who didn’t get the tip “her way” finds herself in hot water with the law after she stabbed a woman 14 times due to an insufficient tip, the New York Post reports.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Department says that Brianna Alvelo, 22, became angry after delivering a pizza at the Riviera Motel in this suburban Orlando community, and the customer only gave her a $2 tip. She returned a short time later with an accomplice and repeatedly stabbed the woman.

In a press release, the sheriff’s office said, “Alvelo, who was armed with a knife, began attacking one of the victims. The victim was stabbed multiple times, and items were taken from within the room.” The stabbing occurred in front of the victim’s five-year-old child.

NBC News reported that authorities said the victim was with her boyfriend and daughter at the motel celebrating a birthday. The victim reportedly gave Alvelo a $50 bill for the $33 order; however, Alvelo didn’t have enough change for the large bill. The outlet reported that the victim then dug into her pocket and gave her $2.

Security camera footage showed Alvelo arriving at the motel parking lot around 10:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22. She returned 90 minutes later with her companion, who was wearing a mask.

NBC News reviewed police records and found that the victim tried to shield her daughter from the attackers and was hit in the back. She then “threw her daughter onto the bed and attempted to pick up her phone,” which Alvelo smashed.

The outlet said Alvelo then stabbed the victim 14 times before her companion, armed with a gun, yelled for them to flee. The pair fled, and police were called. The victim, who was not identified, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition. While being treated, the victim also found out she was pregnant.

Police were able to track down Alvelo the next day. However, her partner in crime, who was carrying the firearm, is unidentified and is still at large.

According to the sheriff’s department, Alvelo has been charged with attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, assault, and kidnapping.

“She was booked into the Osceola County Jail and has no bond,” the sheriff’s office said. “This was an isolated incident at this address, and the matter remains under investigation.”

The owners of Marco’s Pizza, where Alvelo worked, issued a statement apologizing for the incident.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred,” the statement obtained by WKMG-TV read. “The local owner and his team are fully cooperating with local authorities, who have launched an investigation into the matter.

‘The safety and well-being of customers and team members are always our top priority, and we take this incident very seriously.”

How did Alvelo manage to stab the woman 14 times before the victim's boyfriend defended her? AND with a firearm? Yeah. gotta love Orlando... maybe it's NOT the "happiest place on earth."
