Seriously? Hunter Biden to sue Fox News for calling the self-proclaimed crackhead a crackhead

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it’s a crackhead. Or in this case, Hunter Biden. According to Post Millennial, Hunter Biden, despite calling himself a crackhead in a previous memoir, is suing Fox News for calling him precisely that.

The move comes as his father Joe Biden is struggling in his presidential campaign against a resurgent former President Donald Trump.

PM pointed out that Hunter Biden himself described himself as a “crack addict,” a “crack daddy,” and a “crackhead” in a previous memoir. Biden is accusing Fox News of defamation of character.

The younger Biden claims Fox “dehumanized” him (if such a thing were possible) and damaged his father’s reputation, as if the elder Biden, who appears to be suffering from a form of dementia, wasn’t doing that himself.

Hunter Biden gave a statement to The Daily Beast in which he tried to justify going after Fox News.

“I’m not saying my addiction is an excuse for my bad behavior,” he said. What I’m saying is that my addiction is not an excuse for them to dehumanize me–and in doing so dehumanize everybody from the addict that you pass it [sic] on the street, to the one that you live with.”

“That is the principal motivating factor,” he continued. “Addict, addict, addict, addict, you know,” he continued while claiming to mimic Fox News personalities who have used the term.

“Crack addict, he’s a crack addict, smoking crack, addict.”

According to FindLaw, in order to win a defamation lawsuit, there are a number of conditions that must be met. One of those elements reads, “The statement was false,” and adds that “the statement did not fall into a privileged category.” In the case of Hunter Biden, the claim that he was a “crackhead” is fairly easy to prove, since he has himself confirmed that narrative.

In response to Hunter Biden’s threatened lawsuit, Fox News released a statement, noting first and foremost its reporting is “constitutionally protected coverage.”

“Consistent with the First Amendment, Fox News has accurately covered these highly publicized events as well as the subsequent indictment of an FBI informant who was the source of certain claims made about Mr. Biden.”

Post Millennial wrote that Biden’s lawyers sent a letter to Fox News a few weeks ago in which they threatened legal action for allegedly collaborating with Trump operatives and wait for it–pro-Russia nationals–to defame him for profit. The letter demanded the network retract statements about Hunter Biden’s crack addiction and further asked for on-air apologies from the network.

In another show of tone deafness, Hunter Biden also claimed his father never got “rich off of being a United States senator.”

“Whatever you say, the one thing that nobody ever accused my dad of was getting rich off of being a United States senator,” he said. “And so what’s the one thing that you need to do? You need to completely dehumanize me. And the easiest way to do that is to show me to be this degenerate crack addict.”

Needless to say, social media did not disappoint and lit up Hunter Biden:

Like Father like Son.

It's not defamation. It's definition of character.
