“If we don’t harness their potential for good, their societies will continue to reap their capacity for evil.” - Romeo Dallaire
For over 25 years, I served as a Special Agent for Homeland Security, and witnessed the global horrors of human trafficking. An estimated 30 million people worldwide are trapped in modern day slavery and are used for: labor, sexual exploitation, organ & baby harvesting, human rituals, and for war fighters. This evil global trade is estimated at $300 billion, supported by transnational crime groups & corrupt governments.
On a recent trip to South Sudan, I traveled to an “orphanage” less than an hour from the U.S. Embassy in Juba. This visit brought outrage, sadness, and tears to my eyes. I entered a child concentration camp and immediately thought of the U.S. soldiers who liberated the jews at Auschwitz.
The camp was surrounded by a prison wall, with armed guards brandishing AK-47s at the ready. As I entered, I saw a sea of children & babies, some 2,500 standing at attention, singing to welcome me with a small food donation. The smell of human waste and flowing sewage burned my eyes & throat.
There was no electricity, no kitchen, no food, no water or bathrooms to be seen. The sounds of children coughing throughout the crowd were abundant and these shoeless angels recoiled and pulled back when attempting to shake their hands or hold them. Between the rows of kids, I saw several toddlers lying down on the ground holding each other. I could only pray that they were alive.
The head of the camp is a self appointed “prophet” who has been seen on the internet performing exorcisms of sorts and mass healings. He is a close ally of the current, and well documented corrupt President of South Sudan. In an online interview, the “prophet” stated the government of South Sudan “has been a great inspiration for what we are doing” and the land was given to us by the President who has also made a “donation."
He went on to say that he has partners inside and outside South Sudan who help feed, house and provide medical care for the children, and all their basic necessities are met.
According to USAID, in FY 2024, the U.S. government “humanitarian assistance” to South Sudan is $600 million to date, but has provided nearly $7.3 billion since South Sudan gained independence in 2011.
With a collapsed economy, and a raging war to the north, it’s difficult to say how many of these children will be sold for labor, organs, sexual exploitation, war fighters & human sacrifices.
NOTE: In 2023, I traveled to Uganda and was told by a senior police official that they established a Human Sacrifice Task-Force to address the killings of children for human rituals.
I am confident the incoming Trump Administration will reduce fraud in international aid, ensuring that assistance reaches those who truly need it and not corrupt governments or their associates. In addition, with the recent appointment of Thomas Homan to serve as the border czar, our borders and communities will be secure from transnational crime & terror groups who exploit our freedoms.
May God truly bless the most vulnerable. Our children!

You need to re-word the article. Homeland Security BEGAN/FORMED in 2005. I was there. So, less than 25 years as a Homeland Security Agent.

Why was my comment spam? Homeland Security was formed in 2005. So less than 25 years ago.
