KWAZULU-NATAL PROVINCE, SOUTH AFRICA - On Wednesday, April 3, a police tactical firearms team fatally shot nine members of a violent, brutal gang who allegedly raped a young girl in front of her mother.
According to the DailyMail, the ruthless gang is believed to be behind a series of serious crimes, including murder and armed robbery. Once the authorities learned the disturbing details of the young girl who was sexually tortured and repeatedly raped during a house robbery, police made it a mission to find and deliver justice to the members of the gang.
Top brass within the police department ordered the tactical team unit to find the men who had put the victim through such unimaginable violence and deliver swift justice. The unit was mobilized when a tip-off came through that the gang was planning a hit on a rival boss. It was dark when the unit was dropped off close to a house identified as the gang headquarters and the officers quickly realized they surrounded the wrong address.
A lookout alerted the gang members inside who then opened fire on the police. Within minutes, the police regrouped, started firing back and nine gang members were shot dead. There are still two gang members who either escaped the incident or who were not present; police will not stop looking for them.
KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said in a statement, "The Provincial Stabilisation Team pounced on the gang in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The suspects had been on our radar for serious and violent crimes but then allegedly raped a young girl and made her mother watch during a house robbery.
"The shoot-out happened when we received intelligence that the gang were plotting to execute a hit on a rival so an action plan was quickly put into place. Nine gang members were shot dead and three firearms have so far been found in their possession and a manhunt for two suspects is underway."
When the mother of the young victim was told about the nine gang members being shot and killed by police, she said, "My daughter will not get peace from this. I will be able to sleep at last and I know my daughter will have peace in her heart as she knows that she will never ever see those boys again. It is so hard every day having to live with having seen your daughter raped in front of you."
The gang reportedly terrorized their neighborhood for an entire year and then broke their way into the home, targeting the young girl. The violent gang of 11 young men aged between 18 and 22 are allegedly behind a vicious mini-crime wave in the suburb of Durban and are wanted for at least five murders. They used automatic weapons, pistols and machetes to bring fear into locals and then forced three families out of their homes in Mariannhill. They then made those houses their gang headquarters.
South African police are in the midst of a waging a war on gangs who are engaged in a deadly battle for territory and control of the drugs, alcohol, and prostitution market. According to reports, every day there are 75 murders and 120 rapes mainly carried out between rival gangs and are done in the impoverished areas where police hardly patrol. One detective in Durban said, "This group had been pushing and pushing for a while and this horrific gang rape was just the final straw."
The mother of the young girl who was raped praised the police and their swift actions, which she said brought back order to the once peaceful neighborhood. The mother told reporters, "It won't change what happened but it will bring closure to my daughter and to all of us as a family. What makes it worse is these were young boys I saw grow up in front of me and then they found drugs and firearms and then in numbers they grew and became so powerful."
She said that the gang broke in at about midnight while they were asleep and demanded money. The men took the TV and their cell phones. The mother said, "They wanted more money but I said I didn't have it and then they began assaulting me and my 16-year-old daughter and pushed us both onto the bed. While this was happening, they were raping my older daughter and I could hear her screaming for help but I could do nothing as they were armed and assaulting us."
She added, "I don't think my daughter will ever come back to stay here with me after what happened and I also think I won't be coming back to my house any time soon. I may have to sell it."

Awesome work. We could use more of that in US cities (Chicago, San Francisco, Baltimore, D.C., etc.).

Maybe if America took these kinds of stands, we'd have less crimes!

Good work! We should do that here in the USA! Of course the media would cry "police brutality" and "racism".

Wake up America. This is happening in our country and in order to fight this, extreme prejudice towards gang members is a must. You can't negotiate with these animals. Read up 9n how Panama is taking their country back.
