OCONEE COUNTY, SC - An illegal alien in South Carolina has been charged with child sex crimes and incest, the latest case involving illegal aliens and child sex crimes.
Luis Armando Argueta Montejo, 43, was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree and one count of incest. He is being held on an $80,000 bond, Fox Carolina reports.
The investigation began on April 11 after a minor victim gave birth to a baby in a parking lot at Oconee County Memorial Hospital. The minor and an adult female had been transported to the hospital in connection with a medical call.
According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), deputies met with an employee of the Department of Social Services (DSS), and the investigation was referred to an investigator with the violent crimes unit.
As a result of the investigation, it was learned that Montejo had engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim between 2022 and 2025. The juvenile victim and the baby were placed into emergency protective custody, with officials saying both are in a safe environment. Investigators are still working to determine the father of the baby.
The OCSO said that an ICE detainer has been lodged against Montejo.
“Due to the preservation of the ongoing investigation, and that of the underage victim, the Sheriff’s Office will not release any further information that could, either directly or indirectly, identify the victim in this case or the young child,” OCSO said in a statement.
In response to the arrest, Rep. Sherri Biggs (R-SC) issued the following statement:
“The alleged crimes out of Oconee County are the worst of the worst. Truly sickening and evil. I thank ICE for their quick action, and I pray nothing like this ever happens again.”
WYFF-4 reported that Montejo is the father of the juvenile victim.
