AUSTIN, TX - The Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed charges against a surgeon who spoke up about a Texas hospital that was allegedly secretly conducting gender-affirming care on minors.
According to the DailyMail, the DOJ has accused 33-year-old Dr. Eithan Haim of HIPPA violations, indicting him on four criminal charges, all of which are felonies. Fox News reported that Dr. Haim is fully expected to fight the charges against him, stating that the DOJ is corrupt.
On X, Haim wrote, "They wanted to intimidate me into silence using every technique the federal leviathan had at their disposal. But they failed. The only way to lose is to submit to corruption. It's time to fight back harder than ever!"
Haim, who completed his residency at the Texas Children's Hospital (THC), released medical files back in May of 2023 showing that THC staff had provided puberty blockers and other sex-change treatments to kids. Hospital officials claim that they stopped providing gender-affirming care a year earlier, in March of 2022.
Haim has repeatedly said that the leaked documents did not include any personal information on any of the patients. In a statement to Fox News Digital, Haim's attorney, Marcella Burke, said, "My client is anxious to get to trial to get his side of the story told. I am confident this will result in the correct decision being made."
Haim reportedly leaked the documents to journalist Christopher Rufo, who has also previously stressed that none of the documents included personal information about the patients. A year later, U.S. Marshals showed up at Haim's home to hand him a summons, instructing him to appear in court to face the charges.
According to Fox News, back in February 2022, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton released an opinion that stated gender-affirming care for kids could be a form of child abuse under state law and within a month of that opinion, THC issued a statement saying it would stop all treatments and surgeries on children who wanted gender-affirming care.
An article published by City Journal said that Haim alleged that within three days of THC issuing that statement, a surgeon implanted a hormone device in an 11-year-old girl who wanted to transition from female to male. Haim said that over the next year, the frequency of those types of procedures increased.
After the story by Rufo was published, which was on May 14th, 2023, the Texas legislature passed a law that banned transgender medical interventions on minors. A few weeks after that, Haim said two federal agents arrived at his home, notifying him that he was a "potential target" for an investigation involving violations of federal criminal law.
Haim has stressed that he has not broken any rules or gone against the law. He is not denying that he released the medical files, but he insists that the identities of the patients were redacted. According to the records, one THC doctor performed transgender medical procedures on minors whose ages ranged from 12 to 17, with visit types listed as "gender dysphoria" and "gender identity." Haim is set to appear in court on June 10th.

Hey Jenna Curren, please quit using “gender affirming care”. Doctors take an oath to do no harm and this isn’t care, it’s mutiliation and chemical castration of children.

It is unconscionable that any medical facility or doctor would condone or involve themselves in manipulating the gender of a minor child. Once they are adults, they can decide for themselves, so this is clearly all about money and has nothing to do with the good of a patient.

If I recall correctly, gender-changing surgery required 1-2 years of counseling (for adults) when Johns Hopkins was initially perfecting procedures. Add to that insult that children have very minimal cognitive understanding of surgical/medical interventions. This is child abuse on the parents part, and greed on the medical establishment.

Thankfully, this happened in Texas. In Kalifornia, they'd give him a medal.

It's true, Merrick Garland head of the DOJ is so corrupted. He lies, abuses his power to bid the wishes of the Biden Crime Family. Now he is going after this doctor that is whistleblowing the truth about a corrupt hospital performing transgender procedures on under age children 12-17. He needs to stand and not defend. I am concerned he has A BAR attorney repping him because they are usually in support of the BAR judge and BAR prosecutor. Learn how to stand and make that court an Article 3 court.

We need more doctors like Haim and the people who will back and support him. Obviously this administration is all for breaking laws and then charging people who report the illegal activity.
