NEW YORK CITY, NY - Police said that a 14-year-old girl was stabbed in the leg inside a Bronx high school, which is just the latest incident in a serious of violent events involving the youth in the city.

According to the New York Post, the incident happened at 11:36 a.m. on Thursday, December 12th, at the East Bronx Academy for the Future in Crotona. The young girl was slashed across her left leg after fighting with another student inside the school. The wounded teen was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

Police said that the other student, the assailant, was taken into custody. The knifing incident came a day after a series of unrelated violent incidents amongst teens in Brooklyn and the Bronx. In the first incident, a 14-year-old boy was walking in East New York on Wednesday morning, December 11th, when three teens rushed over and demanded he take off his facemask.

Police said one of the teens allegedly slashed the 14-year-old boy across the mouth and hand as the others held him down. This assault happened at 8:50 in the morning. The victim was able to identify one of his attackers from school and police arrested two of the suspects at P.S. 166. The third assailant has yet to be caught.

An hour after that incident, police said a 15-year-old boy was slashed in the face by a stranger in the mezzanine of the 182nd-183rd Street B/D station in Fordham Heights in the Bronx. Moments before the attack, the suspect seethed, "Where are you from?", which sparked a fight with the teen. His attacker, who is believed to be a teen, fled and has not yet been caught.

Several hours later, a 16-year-old boy was robbed of his jacket at knifepoint by a pair of scooter-riding suspects while he waited for a bus in Sheepshead Bay at 3:35 p.m.

One of the suspects allegedly threatened, "You better give me your jacket!" while they both whipped out blades on Avenue U and Nostrand Avenue as they cornered the teen. The pair snatched his $800 jacket and rode off southbound on Nostrand Avenue. As of this writing, neither of his assailants have been caught.

ABC7 reported that two teens in the country illegally were victims of a recent New York City stabbing, leaving one of them dead. Police said the incident happened after the teens were asked by a group of men if they spoke English and they responded that they did not.

The trio of men approached the teens around 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, December 12th, and when the teens said they did not speak English, they were allegedly attacked. Police said they were responding to a 911 call for an assault in Lower Manhattan when they found a 17-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest and an 18-year-old male with a stab wound to the left arm.

The 17-year-old succumbed to his injuries and the 18-year-old remains in stable condition at the NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue location. The surviving victim believes he was stabbed with a screwdriver. Police said a knife was recovered at the scene and will be tested for forensics.

The three suspects fled the stabbing on foot. They have been described as being in their 20s with dark complexions. One was wearing a green jacket, white pants, and white sneakers. The second was wearing red pants and a red hooded sweatshirt with a black jacket, and also had a black backpack. The third was wearing red sweatpants, red hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, and blue and white sneakers.
