WASHINGTON, D.C. - Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett made a recent appearance on Newsmax’s “Finnerty” news show and spoke about a topic most people are skeptical about - aliens and UFOs.
No, we’re not talking about the illegal aliens plaguing America that have been headline news since Biden’s disastrous open border policy.
We are talking about the otherworldly-type aliens.
Rep. Tim Burchett has been a leading political figure when it comes to the taboo topic of UFOs and aliens. He has been on countless interviews and documentaries discussing the topic.
His main argument has been that there is far more going on with aliens and UFOs than the government has been admitting. He simply feels that aliens are real, they always have been, and if our own government knows about it, they need to disclose it officially.
A skeptical Newsmax host opened the interview, which included a “tinfoil” hat reference, but Rep. Burchett provided a very real and serious response.
“I’ve been briefed by just about every alphabet agency there is. And let me just tell you this, if they were to release the things I’ve seen, you’d be up at night thinking about this stuff. We just need to disclose it all. I’m sick of it,” Burchett said on Newsmax.
He continued, “I was briefed two weeks ago, and it would’ve set the Earth on – this country would’ve come unglued, I think, if they had heard what I heard. They would demand answers, and we need to.”
Rep. Burchett remains adamant that deep, unknown parts of the government are behind it all, and their goal is to "keep everything quiet."
“Unfortunately, it keeps getting covered up and covered up, and the people who know are dying or disappearing. For the record, I’m not suicidal, and I don’t take risks,” Burchett said. “I told the President: ‘Release it all.’”
In all likelihood, Rep. Burchett is referring to multiple high-profile figures who were somehow linked to secret government UFO-like projects that have recently disappeared, each under mysterious circumstances.
Retired Air Force Major General William Neil McCasland, 68, who once led the Air Force’s laboratory where cutting-edge technology was researched at a base known for its “UFO lore,” suddenly disappeared. He left his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, one late morning in February, reportedly to go on a hike, but never returned. The FBI is now involved in the search as he remains missing.
“He served as chief engineer on the Department of Defense's Global Positioning System program, system program director of the Space-Based Laser Project Office, and director of special programs at the Pentagon. He also commanded the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base - a base long rumored to house extraterrestrial debris linked to Roswell, despite Air Force denials,” one media source reported.
Scientist Monica Reza, an aerospace professional who worked with advanced materials directly under McCasland, also mysteriously vanished after going for a hike in California in June 2025. Other "coincidental" deaths include Caltech scientist Carl Grillmair, who studied dark matter, galactic structure, stellar populations, and exoplanets, and MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center Director Nuno Loureiro. Both were gunned down in their homes.
McCasland's disappearance comes with unusual timing as President Trump recently ordered the release of information and documents pertaining to UFOs and aliens.

Rep. Burchett also told Newsmax about other issues that prevent more widespread knowledge about UFOs, as it relates to the president, information sharing, and how much these underground projects are costing taxpayers.
“The problem is, the people that are around the president, and the president, don’t know the questions to ask. A few of us are going to have to get with the president and tell him what he needs to ask and where he needs to look,” Rep. Burchett said.
“The public has a right to know, dagummit, it’s your tax dollars. Let’s get it out there,” he concluded.
