Edinburg, Texas: It has been recently reported that a Texas Latin Grammy winner and Democrat Bobby Pulido, who is vying for a seat in Congress, conducted a musical performance along with a registered sex offender, Frankie Caballero, at a Texas middle school benefit concert back in 2018.

Fire is starting to spark for Pulido. He has denied any knowledge that Caballero, an accordionist, was a registered sex offender at the time of their benefit. But all indicators point to a much different story.

Axios, the media company that broke the story, reported that Pulido has previously spoken highly about Caballero, who have had close ties for over a decade, and has proudly told others that he recruited Caballero.

Pulido went into detail about his close relationship with Caballero, even going so far as to say that Caballero helped launch his career.

“At the time of the [2018] performance, Caballero had already completed the four-year prison sentence stemming from his 2014 conviction and was listed on Texas' sex offender registry,” Axios reported.

Other details have emerged indicating Pulido knew more than what his team is willing to admit.

In a 2019 YouTube interview, Pulido praised Caballero’s musical ability. In the interview he said, “I remember when I started out, I went to get him out of jail.” But he did not clarify why Caballero was in jail to begin with.

More and more clues are surfacing showing that Pulido was aware of Caballero’s deviant past despite their denials, and now his political ambitions are paying the price.

About Frankie Caballero

In the spring of 2014, Caballero was sentenced to four years in prison for indecent sexual contact with a minor. Following his release from prison, he was ordered to register as a sex offender.

Caballero’s had several other interactions with law enforcement.

In 1992, he was arrested for child sex abuse charges with a $75,000 bond, but the disposition of the case is unclear.

In 2020 and 2021, he was then charged with indecency by sexual contact with a child, attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child, and unlawful restraint of a child under 17. However, those charges have been dismissed.

Another incident had him charged with assaulting a family member, his own daughter, by “impeding breathing and circulation.”

Texas 15th Congressional District

None of this information has gone past Pulido’s competition to take Texas’s 15th Congressional District, Republican Maria De La Cruz. And she has strong opinions about Pulido.

De La Cruz interviewed with Fox News Digital and asserted that "the question isn't whether Bobby Pulido knew what his close friend did to these children — everyone knows he knew — the question is why Bobby Pulido spent decades bringing a pedophile around to our families?

She continued, “The answer is, he doesn't care, because he is a celebrity who barely even lives in this country. This is someone who was already faced child sex abuse charges when Mr. Pulido personally recruited him and built his entire career around him.”

De La Cruz didn’t stop there. She pulled no punches and simply referenced Caballero’s history.

"Then he goes on to molest an 8-year-old girl from our community and goes to prison. Once again, Mr. Pulido hires him," she said. "He starts bringing this pedophile into our parks, into our festivals, and my opponent is even on tape joking about this man's crimes."

De La Cruz emphasized, "My heart breaks up for the families whose children were victimized by the predator that Bobby Pulido brought into our neighborhoods for decades, knowing full well what he had done."

Although Pulido has been gaining popularity recently, his previous statements and actions are now coming to light. But will it be enough to stop him from taking the Congressional seat in Texas?

We hope so, America deserves better.
