HARRIS COUNTY, TX - To say that our criminal justice system is broken is a vast understatement.
That assessment was proven once again in Texas earlier this month when a career criminal with a rap sheet almost as long as a roll of paper towels was set loose by an apparent DEI candidate, Judge Te’Iva J. Bell, who somehow ran unopposed in the 2024 election. Bell’s term runs through 2028, and she also serves as Criminal Division Administrative Judge.
Veronica Kiana Jones, 31, has a rap sheet going back to 2010. Despite a history of violent felonies, Bell saw fit to release her on a $50,000 bond on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge, Fox 26 Houston reported.
A look at her ten mugshots from previous arrests shows just how seriously Jones takes getting arrested. In all but two, she’s flashing a nice, toothy grin.
Fox 26 reports that Jones’ rap sheet is a combination of violent and non-violent crimes. Despite being convicted of six felonies, she has served minimal jail time.
It is hardly surprising that Jones has made a mockery of the criminal justice system. The current district attorney, Sean Teare, is a George Soros-backed political hack elected in 2024. He ran against another Soros political hack, Kim Ogg, who was also a beneficiary of Soros’ deep pockets and who served as district attorney in Harris County between 2017 and 2024. Soros donated just over $2 million to Teare’s campaign, Texas Scorecard reported.
So, what type of criminal was just released back onto the streets of Harris County? In 2022, Jones only threatened to set an elementary school on fire.
“Then she posted all her rantings and ravings on her Instagram page, and she threatened to kidnap a 4-year-old,” said Andy Kahan with Crime Stoppers. “Klein ISD had to put the school under lockdown because of a threat made by Jones. That ended up with her being convicted of a terrorist threat and six days in the county jail.”
Despite that history, a far-left DEI judge saw fit to release her from jail, despite her being wanted on bond forfeiture warrants.
“She became a fugitive out of San Patricio County. She was a wanted fugitive,” said Kahan. “They issued a warrant for her arrest August 11, three days before she appeared in the 339th Court. She was also out on bond in multiple other states, including Florida, Illinois, and Virginia.”
Such is the state of the criminal justice system in blue jurisdictions. Even in a bright red state like Texas, blue enclaves like Harris County still have criminal “justice” officials who thumb their noses at law-abiding citizens and unleash an unhinged criminal lunatic like Jones onto the streets, free to terrorize them again.
Pay close attention to areas like Harris County, Manhattan, Cook County in Illinois, Multnomah County in Oregon, and other blue areas. If far-left Democrats retake power in November, this disease will spread nationwide. There will be tens of thousands of people like Veronica Kiana Jones roaming the streets of America. And sadly, many of them will be worse than she is.
