KENOSHA COUNTY, WI- Last summer, Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers honored a group called the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” in a pre-game ceremony for their fundraising efforts for the rainbow community. The group mocks Catholic nuns, which didn’t sit well with members of the Catholic Church.
Despite that, the Dodgers invited the group after initially canceling the event. One of those who had an issue with the group was Dodgers star pitcher Clayton Kershaw, who saw it as mocking religion. As it turns out, mocking religion was the least of the group’s issues.
Last week, a member of the group was arrested in connection with child pornography and exploitation of children, a development that supports the view by many conservatives that groups such as this, which perpetuate the drag lifestyle, are used by pedophiles to target children.
The Post Millennial reported that Adam Westbrook, who worked as the human resource director in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, was taken into custody last week after a search warrant was served at his home, which was part of a much larger investigation, authorities said. In his spare time, Westbrook “performs” as a drag queen.
Libs of TikTok, known for shedding light on certain aspects of the drag lifestyle, recently covered the arrest of Westbrook on X. The report included a photo of Westbrook in drag alongside the mayor of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. According to Libs of TikTok, Westbrook is currently facing charges related to child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child, with four counts for each offense. Adding to the unsettling nature of the situation, Westbrook's spouse is identified as a teacher.
Kenosha County’s sheriff’s office said Westbrook’s arrest is part of a more extensive investigation seeking to protect children and, therefore, refused to release any additional details about Westbrook’s arrest. He was due in court on Monday and was expected to be formally charged.
In Outgamie County, Westbrook is expected to face termination proceedings, with the county executive saying they were “shocked by the charges.”
“We are shocked by the charges and have begun the process to terminate the individual,” County Executive Tom Nelson said in a statement. “We will continue to cooperate with authorities and do all that we can to assist in the investigation.”
Westbrook’s LinkedIn profile shows he took over as HR director in Outgamie County last September, and among his “talents,” he lists “performing” as one of his passions.
Journalist Angy Ngo of the Post Millennial found out that Westbrook’s husband is married to Michael Westbrook, a Menasha Joint School District school teacher.
