Newark, NJ: A Canadian national known for strong liberal views was recently arrested and charged after it was reported that video surveillance showed she slapped an underage teenager on a boardwalk in New Jersey.

Since the incident occurred over the July 4th holiday weekend, the news made national headlines. The situation continues to develop and worsen for the Canadian woman and her husband, who are facing one major road block to another - many who believe it is deserved.

The Initial Incident

It was alleged that Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, a Canadian national, went up to a group of teenagers, some of whom were wearing patriotic pants which contained the words “ICE” and “Trump” at Pt. Pleasant boardwalk in New Jersey, a location known for its rides, games, and nightlife, and video recorded the confrontation.

Tracey then allegedly struck one of the girls during the incident, according to court documents.

“Tracey yelled at the two people in the group wearing ‘patriotic colored’ sweatpants before she slapped the victim across her face and body, an affidavit of probable cause stated,” one local media organization wrote.

Tracey, who entered the United States in 2024 and resides in Asbury Park, NJ, a town known for its strong liberal community, then fled the scene. But it wasn’t long until authorities caught up to her after a brief investigation and arrested her.

Tracey was ultimately slammed with several serious charges: endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment, and obstruction.

Problems Mounting for the Canadian Couple

Since the initial arrest, the problems for Tracey and her husband, Matthew Geroni, have been adding up.

“I need help,” Geroni said on a TikTok post, which his account has since been made private. “I need my wife. I don’t want to see her get hurt.”

Since the alleged assault and arrest, ICE has taken custody of Tracey and sent her Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark, New Jersey, an ironic outcome.

Geroni has been active on social media denouncing Delaney Hall and posting statements about how the protesters have been “peaceful and the police as violent, mindless thugs.”

NY Post recently reported on Gerone’s social media activity regarding his views on what was going on at Delaney Hall.

“The video opens with him sitting under the words ‘peaceful protesters literally standing in their designated first amendment zone,’ looking confused and scratching his head. It then cuts to him standing and aiming a gun-like object with which he mimics a rapid-fire shooting motion standing beside the text ‘State police and [ICE] at Delaney Hall in Newark, NJ,” the NY Post wrote.

An unhinged Geroni has taken to social media on other pro-liberal stances to make bold and disturbing comments. He has previously wished for the deaths of President Trump and his family, even praying the “entire Trump family gets cancer”.

And today his wife Tracey is sitting in that very same detention facility he posted about.

Now the married couple can get a true taste of our justice system - that’s the American way.
